MOO

Last year I was sent an email from Yahoo about their pictures part of their website closing down and that they would transfer it all to Flickr for me.  Well, I was going through Flickr and found a link in there that went to Moo.com which is a company based in London, England that prints the pictures you select from Flickr onto mini business cards, stickers, note pads and greeting cards.

Well, I thought that was so cool and had to place an order for some business cards.  I chose 8 different pictures, some of our cat and some of my childhood and had 100 mini cards made up.  These aren't traditional business cards because they are more than half the size but instead they are more like little calling cards.  You don't use them in business, you give them to friends and acquaintances.

The cards are really thick too and they look so neat.  They came in this hard plastic box and they even sell card holders that hold anywhere from 8 to 25 cards made out of different materials like plastic, felt, leather and acrylic.

It took about a couple of weeks to get from England to the United States and they actually got here a lot sooner than I thought they would.

Torchwood

The last we saw, Qwen, Ianto and Jack were all that survived Torchwood.  The show will be coming back this year possibly in March 2009.  I'm looking forward to seeing who will fill in the 2 slots.  I'm hoping that it will be Martha Jones and Mickey who was Rose Tylers boyfriend in Doctor Who series 1.  He has had a lot of experience with the Cybermen and working for Torchwood in the alternate universe so I'm pretty sure he would be a good choice to work with these guys.

If these 2 aren't going to be on the show I really hope that they pick some good choices.  I also hope that they announce them soon before I explode.

11th Doctor

I've been holding my breath ever since I found out that David Tennant was leaving Doctor Who which has become one of my favourite shows including spin offs like Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures.

There has been rumors and speculation the last few days that Patterson Joseph would be the 11th doctor and some even though that the guy from the Christmas special would be the 11th doctor but he wasn't.  I really think he would've made a good doctor too.

But alas, today aired the Doctor Who Confidential revealing that Matt Smith will be the next doctor.  I had gotten myself all psyched up about Patterson Joseph being the 11th doctor but I'm even more excited about Matt Smith because he's young and he's cute and he just has that Doctor look about him with his hair and he just has a doctor face to me.  I am really looking forward to seeing him in 2010.

Infinite

I've been hearing this word being used lately that sounds weird to me.  People are saying Infinite but pronouncing it like In-fy-nyte but it's pronounced In-fuh-nit.

The definition of this word is unlimited like say for example, space is infinite because it's so big it just never ends.

It confuses me when I hear people saying this word wrong because I think they are saying something else.  I heard it at Christmas time several times by 2 people and now I just heard it on TV.

It sort of reminds me of the word Nuclear.  It is pronounced noo-klee-er but I hear people like George Bush saying nu-cu-ler.

No More Crocheting

Last night I was crocheting a granny square and I could feel the pressure in my left wrist from the carpel tunnel.  I was going to just do a few squares a day to be able to do my crocheting but not over do it but I guess I over did it.

It was fun while it lasted though but unfortunately I have to stop for awhile again.  I'm making a blanket with granny squares with all different colors with a black border.  It will look nice once it's finished but I will have to wait a long time to finish it I guess.
