Trichotillomania

Trichotillomania

Kathy Griffin was talking about the problem her tour manager Tom has.  Trichotillomania.  I'd never heard of that word until Kathy Griffin mentioned that Tom had it.  What happens is the person sits there and pulls out their eyelashes or eyebrows without even knowing they are doing it.

One website said that it affects more females than males but so far I count 2 males.  Tom from Kathy Griffins My Life on the D-List and my very own partner Chip.

Chip does it all the time.  I'll be watching tv in the living room and he's sitting there pulling out his eyebrows with his thumb and finger and he doesn't even realize it.

Isn't it funny how we humans have our ticks?  I've had my share of ticks of course.  When I was a kid around 12 I remember blinking my eyes really hard and there would be times that I would just blink a lot.  I also have a strange eyebrow tick where I move my right eyebrow down, I can't explain what I do but it makes me feel good to do it but other times it affects my eyesight.  I can imagine what people must think when they see me do it.  Luckily when I'm in public I don't do it so nobody sees me except Chip.  When I see him look over at me I stop lol.

I've had strange ticks since I was a kid.  They are always different but the 1 tick can last for months even years at a time before I finally stop but then I pick up a new tick that I can't shake.  But luckily I haven't started pulling any hair out lol.

Whitney Houston Comeback Failure?

They were talking on the news about how Whitney Houston's comeback was a failure because she was losing her voice.  She did apologize but she blamed it on Oprah lol.  She said that she did an interview with Oprah and she talked so much during the interview that she lost her voice.

She didn't sound too bad and I don't understand what the problem is.  Most singers can't sing live anyway lol.  It always sounds better on the CD (or mp3).

I loved her in the 80's, I had 2 of her CD's from way back when, I even have them on my Dell DJ to this day.  I don't listen to it that often but it's fun to hear when I'm into it.

I am glad that she is out of that whole drug thing though.  It makes me happy and good for her for making a come back.

Don't Play With Guns

Hehe lesson learned, message received!  Hehe yes I do realize this is an old video.  Someone emailed it to me years ago but someone reminded me of it today on Facebook.
