I just watched the season finale of the Girls Next Door. That is one of the few reality shows that I actually do like to watch because it is entertaining. There is no BS drama on that show where the girls are always fighting and pulling out each others hair extensions then Hef has to get in between them and next thing you know he is rushed to the hospital. No, they don't do that. Everyone gets along.
I thought that since Kendra left the mansion to move into her own mini mansion and Bridget went to Europe for 4 months that the show would be finished. Holly was supposed to move on too because she was with Criss Angel but I read today on TMZ that they split so that's a no go.
Apparently the show isn't over because it said Season finale and not Series finale. Usually when it says Series finale then you know it's over. I just went to tvguide.com and tv.com to find out if this was indeed the end of the show or if it was returning but I didn't get any information. I read on TV Guide how in October 2008 Hef announced his split with Holly and that Kendra moved out but that's about it.
I don't know how far ahead they shoot these. I know that most sitcoms and dramas are shot 3 months before they air because they have to edit and stuff. I'm not sure about reality shows. The only reality show that I watch that is actually live is Big Brother. They have a whole day or 2 to edit everything because they are on 3 days a week.
Kendra's new reality show starts in June but I only watch Girls Next Door when I remember that it might be on. It's not a show I watch regularly. I've probably missed half of the last few seasons, before that I never really watched it. But I do like this show, I have nothing but respect for Hugh Hefner so that is why I watch when I do watch. Also it's very entertaining hehe.
I wish the girls the best of luck and hope they find what they are looking for in life and I hope the show comes back for another season.
Edit: I turned Chelsey Lately on tonight (March 3rd 2009) and the season finale episode had repeated tonight and at the very ending the annoncer did say that there will be another season with brand new episodes (duh, I didn't think a new season would have old episodes). So it is coming back.

Paypal Plugin
I might be way out of the loop since I don't go to PayPal that often. Only when I need to. I went to the PayPal website just now and I saw the link for the PayPal plugin. This is so neat and I wish I'd known about this sooner.
You get this button with a menu that allow you to automatically fill in your information when you are buying something. Like it fills in the billing and shipping address and your name and phone number etc. This way you won't have to type all that stuff in. Well, I'm sure people have been using something for that for years. I haven't though.
But this goes further. If the website does not accept PayPal, no worries because it generates a secured credit card number that takes the money directly from your PayPal account. If you don't have any money in your PayPal account then PayPal uses your secondary bank information which would be your checking or savings account from your regular bank. This is a good idea because it generates a credit card number that even if someone hacks your information that credit card number can only be used for that 1 transaction. The next time you buy something and click Generate Secure Card it will generate a new credit card number.
It also allows you to save your receipt from the site you bought something from so if you need to refer back to that you can find it in your PayPal account. You can save ink and paper by not having to print it out.
Way to go PayPal. Fore more information go to www.paypal.com and log in. The plugin link is in the menu on the left of your account information at the very top.

Why I would like a Kindle
I'm going to save money for a Kindle 3. I know it's not out yet but I mean seriously, buy the time I have the money raised for it they will have the Kindle 3 on sale. Yes, it will take me that long to raise the money.
I would like a Kindle because I do read a lot and when I read in my room I'm always having to change the way I sit so I can read the book. The lighting in my room isn't great so if I had a Kindle I could stay in 1 position a lot longer and not be disturbed. Also, if I had to go get a coffee refill I could set it down on the desk and not worry about putting the bookmark in and closing the book. Not that that is a huge issue.
I would also like a Kindle because books are expensive and I normally don't make that much money to be able to buy books. If a book comes out that's $30 I can't buy it until it's out on paperback because it's cheaper. I normally would have to go to the library and check it out then I would have a limited time to read it before I had to return it.
Another reason is that we had to stop the newspaper because it was too expensive. We just don't have the money anymore. And although the Bakersfield Californian isn't yet available for the Kindle, perhaps by the time the Kindle 3 is out maybe it will be. But $10 is a lot easier to handle for me to pay for the newspaper than whatever the price it is each month. I don't know how much it was because I wasn't paying for it because I don't read it but apparently it was costing a fortune. If I had a Kindle 2 now I could get a subscription to the LA Times which Chip likes to buy on occasion. We used to live in LA.
I would like a Kindle 2 now but I just can't afford it. I have it in my Amazon wish list just in case I do get the money for it but I doubt I will ever be able to buy it. I will just have to wait a year until I have the money saved. But then again, I probably won't be able to save the money because as soon as I run out of money every month I will have to start spending the saved money at the grocery store.
I just hope this recession ends soon and the economy gets back on track so I can set aside $30 a month. Actually if the economy gets back on track and we can get our jobs back or new jobs then I will be able to set aside more than $30 a month, perhaps I can set aside $50 or $75 or even $100 a month for it and get it a lot faster.
Edit: I was just thinking that a Sony Digital Book is $60 cheaper than the Amazon Kindle so why would I want the Kindle? Because Amazon charges way less for the e-books than Sony does. Plus Amazon has the newspapers and magazines and you can browse their website for free without needing to be in a wifi hotspot as if you were on a cell phone and you can view wikipedia for free. The money you save from newspapers alone are enough to want the Kindle.
