Bike Repairs

I rode my bike to the store the other day and I noticed that my back tire has been going flat and it wont stay inflated and so today I decided to go through my boxes in the closet to find the inner tubes that I got when I got the bike originally. When I bought the bike I bought those tire tubes that have the green goo inside of them which is supposed to fix your puncture if you run over a tack or a nail but I didn't know that it doesn't protect the sides, just the outer part. So, I took the back tire off and pumped the tube up by itself and held it under water which is what you do to find the leak. Found it, fixed it. All new again hehe.

Then I realized that the seat was really too high up so I lowered it and boy does that make a hell of a difference. So, I feel accomplished today hehe. I rode it over to our neighbors and back and I noticed it wasn't stopping fast enough so I got off the bike and looked and my front and back brakes are shot lol. Which means I better not even think about getting on it until I go to Snyder's Cyclery to buy some brakes and while I'm there I want to see their lights and a helmet. Not too many people wear helmets so I'd probably look dorky but I'd rather look dorky than dead.

When I was 16 my parents bought me a bike and they bought me this light set that had front and back lights that ran on a generator (the back wheel and my peddling was the generator) so I'd like to see if they have something similar to that, those are a bit more difficult to steal because it's a lot of work to get it on so it must be a bitch to get off. I do recall how horrible the lighting was for the headlight. Every time you start to slow down the light started to fade away lol. I'd like to see if they've made improvements on that system.

No More Plastic Grocery Bags!!!

I've been hearing this thing on the news about how the government is going to make retailers charge customers .25 cents per plastic grocery bag.  That's why I bought all those reusable cloth bags from Albertson's when they first started selling them for $1 per bag.  Whenever you go to the store with those bags they give you a .05 cent refund per bag so if you bring 3 bags you get .15 cents off on your bill.  It's sort of an incentive to use those cloth bags and eventually the bags pay for themselves.  Sometimes they have a sale like if you buy 4 bottles of the 1 liter bottles of Lipton tea you get a cloth bag for free.

I tell you that so I can tell you this.  We bring our cloth bags to the store so we have totally run out of plastic grocery bags which is what I normally use to scoop cat litter into then I put those bags into the 5 lb. buckets that the litter come in (empty buckets of course).  But since I have no more bags I have to just scoop the litter directly into the bucket then to keep the smell down to a minimum I put the lid on it.

Well, you know what happens when there are wet items left inside a closed container don't you?  Condensation happens.  The lid of the bucket has sweat all over it.  Cat urine and feces sweat.  What happens when you open the lid?  The juices fall due to gravity.  Normally when that happens the juices fall to the ground but if your foot is right next to it and you don't have shoes on because you are about ready to go to bed and this is the last thing you do before you go to bed, it falls on your foot.

Well, that happened to me tonight.  Cat urine and feces juice all over my foot.  I couldn't do anything about it because I figured I might as well just scoop the litter and get it done fast so I can run to the shower.  I didn't want to shower then scoop cause then I'd have to wash my hands all over again so I just did my duty then ran to the bathroom.

Thank you Al Gore for bitching and complaining about global warming.  See what you did to me?

Grossed out,

Mike

Pineapple Express

This morning Chip wanted to go to Albertson's to get some meat to BBQ and he decided hey, let's go to Home Town Buffet instead. He said it would probably end up costing us more and all we'd get is the meat but at Home Town Buffet it would be a lot cheaper and we'd get more than just meat. So I said ok good deal. But we got there too early and they were still serving breakfast for another 15 min which to me is no biggy because I love breakfast. Even at dinner time I love breakfast. So then we left there and he said hey, I don't feel like going home, let's go see what's playing at the movies so we went and saw Pineapple Express. Hilarious movie. I myself don't care for pot but I do love a good pot joke lol. Seth Rogan seems to be a very funny guy and he is working his butt off this year doing so many movies.

David Duchovny enters rehab for sex addiction

David Duchovny enters rehab for sex addiction

The link to the news story is gone because the website I got the news story from removed it.

I just cannot imagine David Duchovny going into rehab for sex addiction lol. Ok yes he is allowed to have that problem but after seeing him in so many years of X-Files it just disillusions me you know? It's like finding out your hero is a drug addict. Not that he's my hero but you know what I mean.

GPS for PSP

As some of you know I'm very excited about the GPS module coming this holiday season for the PSP. Well, I just read on the Playstation Blog that it will be out later this year and there is a company who is making a dashboard bracket for the PSP making it easier to navigate the country without needing to hold your PSP while driving lol. Here is a picture.

Now just tell me how I'm supposed to use my PSP while riding a bike without crashing into a car, breaking both my legs and smashing my PSP into a million pieces.

Les Grossman

I just saw a commercial for Tropic Thunder and they are introducing a new actor named Les Grossman. LOL That's hilarious. That is Tom Cruise under all that fat and baldness. He's trying to make a new name for himself as Les Grossman either as a joke or to help boost his career again. Whatever, he was good in that movie.
