Mike is so common

I guess the name Mike is too common. Someone did a search for Mikes Blog and came up with so many different blogs. I guess if you were searching for me you would have a hard time finding me because of all the other people who have a blog who are named Mike.

So here I face a dilemma.  Do I keep my blog the same - Mikes Blog, change it to Xanapus' Blog, Xanapus' Lair or Blog of Xanapus?

Why Xanapus?  Because that is my domain name and because it's not as common as Mike is.  What do you think?  Please take this poll and I will make my decision on October 1st 2009

Bright House Cable Box Upgrade

On August 25th I posted that Bright House Cable is going to upgrade 1 of our cable boxes in the house to a new system which is way different than it was before.  Here is that post:

They told me on the day that the living room box was upgraded that the other box would be upgraded in 3 weeks.  Well that was August 25th so it's been over a month.  That's ok, I was patient.

I didn't do a video like I said because that's kind of silly but I will say this.  The old way was nice and all but it was so slow especially in the guide and the on demand menu.

One of the things I like about the cable guide is that you can go through the guide and find all the shows you want to watch and click on them to remind you to change the channel.  If you change your mind you don't have to do anything but if you want to watch it when the reminder pops up then you click the select button.

This new program for the cable box is even better.  Not only does it have a cooler look but also when you set a reminder it doesn't just remind you 1 minute before but when it's time for your show it just automatically changes the channel for you.  You do have the option to cancel it and stay on that channel you are watching now by clicking the red circle button with the C or just don't do anything and it changes the channel.

That's perfect for me because I have shows to record almost daily and if we're not at home and the tv is on the wrong channel then I record the wrong thing.  I just have to remember to set all my reminders everyday so it knows what to change the channel to. This is a problem because my DVD Recorder has to be set to record channel 3 all the time because of the cable box.

Anyway, I'm glad for the upgrade.

My New Blog Name

It's September 30th which means tomorrow (Oct 1st) is the day that my name change poll will end.  So far with only 5 votes Xanapus' Lair will win but we will see at midnight tonight if that's what will happen.  Personally I like Mike's Blog but as I said in the poll it's too common of a blogs name.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the end result will be tonight when I change my name (or not depending if I get 1 vote for keep the same or no more votes meaning change it).

I'm also going to be changing over to the Halloween theme.  I've been working all month long to get the Halloween theme set up and ready to go tonight.  I made these halloween light sets like x-mas lights but with halloween images.  I only have 22 light sets but I think that's quite enough lol.  You will only see 1 set at a time but it changes light sets as the person reloads the page or looks at something else.

Actually you can see which light sets I have here Halloween Twinkle Bulbs.  I got all the images from icons and clip art and created light sets out of them and animated them so it looks like the lights are going from left to right like chaser light sets.  What can I say, I like bells and whistles lol.

Now that I'm done with Halloween I'm going to start working on Thanksgiving lol.

Douche Nozzle (Allegedly) Jon Gosselin halts the divorce from Kate for 90 days so he can get control back in this relationship.  He woke up one day and looked in the mirror and (Allegedly) thought "I am such a dick, what the hell am I doing?  I need to try to patch things up with my wife and stop cheating on her and flaunting it in her face".  Ok so he didn't say that but I'm sure it was in the back of his mind.

TLC has already taken control of the situation by renaming the show to Kate Plus 8 and minimizing his appearance on the show.  They will probably turn off the cameras when he is in the room and give him the evil eye.

Ok you all probably don't care what I think because I'm gay and I don't have any children so why should I have an opinion?  Well, just because I'm gay doesn't mean that I don't care about this.  In fact it really pisses me off that these straight people have the ability and RIGHT to have children and they are constantly abusing this privilege.  This guy had the audacity to have 8 children with someone then leave her to fend for herself and raise 8 children by herself.  What kind of a person does that?

All I can say is the amount of child support this nozzle is going to have to pay every month is going to kill him.  He's going to have to work 2 jobs and live in a tiny trailer to be able to take care of those 8 kids.  Yeah, good luck with that.  I hope it was worth it DOUCHE!

Actually I'm sure this was his motivation for halting the divorce.  He wants to patch things up so he doesn't have to live in a tiny trailer while paying her money every month for each child.

I woke up early this morning and went into the living room and Fox News was on the tv.  There was this story of this woman named Lisa Snyder who lives in Michigan and she faces 90 days in jail if she babysits children.

You might be thinking, Mike, what the heck is this all about?  Well I have an answer for you.  People have gone insane.

Ok this is what happens.  Her neighbors have to go to work so some of them drop their kids off at her house so they can sit inside her house for up to 45 minutes to wait for the bus to come then she shuttles them all out to the bus.  That's it.  45 minutes.

What the heck is wrong with that?  Well apparently one of her neighbors thinks it's a bad idea so they called the Michigan Department of Human Services and turned her in because she doesn't have a daycare license to do this.

What a freakin' douche!  Who does that?  What business is it of that neighbor if this woman allows kids to sit in her living room for 45 minutes?

She asked the Michigan Department of Human Services if she could let them stand in her garage and they said no.  They told her to tell the parents to buy their kids an umbrella and make them wait at the bus stop.

In fact she said that if a neighbor drops their kids off at her house then go out for dinner at night she could go to jail.

What the hell is going on in this country that a woman can't babysit a child without a day care license?  This is communism and it's unconstitutional.  This isn't the land of the free anymore, it's communist America.

I'm calling out the Michigan Department of Human Services.  You are on notice!

Zombie Pumpkins

This website has so many new pumpkin patterns like this one to the left.  I've downloaded a lot of patterns in the past but none that are of this caliber.

They do charge for their patterns though.  It's not free but it is reasonably priced.  You can buy 2 patterns only for $2, 25 patterns for $5, 200 patterns for $10 or you can pay $20 for all 200 patterns and 10 bonus patterns and some of that money goes to charity.

It would be good if people bought the $20 for 200 patterns and 10 bonus patterns to help the children.  Every year this website chooses a different charity to donate to and this year it's The My Stuff Bags Foundation.  Read the description here.

I'm gonna have to pick out some good ones to do this year.  I still have tons in my pattern library that I haven't done but every year I find new ones that are neat and leave all the old ones alone.  I'm afraid if I buy 200 patterns then I will only do 2 and not the rest lol.  Oh well lol.  I wanna get those bonus patterns anyway so I can help those poor abused, abandoned and neglected children.

Dish Network Mail

I got this in the mail today.  It's from Dish Network and it's 2 sided, very shiny and thick paper.  It's basically 1 sheet folded in half and they dropped it in the mail to advertise for their satellite service.  But the thing that is hilarious is that it's all wrong.  Here take a look and then tell me what you see wrong with it.

Don't you think it's strange?  Ok I've already disclosed my name, It's Mike McDonald.  Go ahead, look at the little Facebook icon in the right side of this blog, it shows my name with my Facebook profile picture.  That I'm not hiding.  But my point is, look at my last name.  McDonald.  Does that scream Arabic to you?

I can understand if they sent me one in Spanish because I'm constantly getting shit in the mail in Spanish but Arabic?

Who is telling Dish Network that this is a service that people with my surname are asking for in Bakersfield, CA?  You can see the return address is in Englewood Colorado.  Why is it that Englewood Colorado is sending junk mail to California?

I don't normally scan my junk mail lol.  This is not what I do but it was so shocking that I had to scan it and blog about it because who would think that a McDonald would ever get something like this?

I know it's not a human error because the computers print the names and addresses on these things then fold them and squirt some rubber cement in 2 spots and they all get sent to a bin to be mailed.  Their computers are obviously mistaking McDonald for an Arabic country when it should have thought that my name belonged to a Scottish country.

I know, maybe there is a woman out there who is Arabic who got married to a Scott named McDonald and she ordered Dish in Arabic so from that the computer decided that all McDonald's out there want Dish in Arabic lol.  That's the only thing I can think of.

Or maybe I'm thinking about this too much.  Ok, it's going in the recycle bin lol.

Roman Polanski Arrested

32 years ago famous director Roman Polanski was accused of raping a 13 year old girl.  He admitted and plead guilty to raping and sodomizing her.  He was found guilty and the day he was supposed to be sentenced he fled the country and went to France.  He's been out of the US for 32 years.

He was invited to be honored at an awards show in Switzerland and there he was arrested.  Will he be extradited back to the US for his sentence?

Debra Winger is quoted as saying:

"We hope today this latest order will be dropped [as] it is based on a three-decade-old case that is all but dead but for minor technicalities," she said. "We stand by and wait for [Roman Polanski's] release and his next masterwork."

What minor technicalities is she talking about?  The fact that he fled the country before he was sentenced?  And she is also saying she stands by him.  Oh really Debra Winger?  You stand by a grown man who would rape and sodomize a 13 year old child?  That's lovely.  Thank you Debra Winger for letting the whole world know what a piece of work you are.  I'm sorry but anyone who stands by this pedophile is also a pedophile.

He had 32 years of freedom, it's now time for him to do his time.

Debra Winger also said (there was video of her on Nancy Grace) that the art world is going to suffer greatly if he is put in jail (not a direct quote).

Really Debra Winger?  Really?  The whole entire art world is going to suffer from the arrest of a pedophile?  Really?  Wow!  Piece of work.

Louise Fletcher on Heroes

Louise Fletcher has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid.  She was in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in 1975 as the infamous Nurse Ratched.  She was also in Star Trek Deep Space 9 as Kai Winn Adami which was AWESOME!  There are 175 movies/tv show titles so too many to list but I can single those 2 out.

In heroes she plays Emma's doctor (who is a new "hero" who is deaf) and this is the perfect role for her because both of her parents were deaf so she already knows sign language.

According to IMDB she is only in 1 episode but I'm hoping it will be a reoccurring role because she is such a great actress.  I would even love it if she had a power.  That would be so beyond awesome to see Louise Fletcher use some kind of power.  But what power would be appropriate for her?

Let's see, her character is a doctor so maybe she has the power to heal with her hands and that's why she became a doctor but she uses her MD as a cover.  Nah that would be too easy.

Well I can't think of anything else but your comments are welcome.  Tell me what power you think she should have.

It's GO Time

It’s GO Time: PSPgo Available October 1st - Source Playstation Blog

Playstation decided that the Sony PSP 1 wasn't good enough so they came out with the PSP 2 which I bought for myself in 2008. Then they came out with PSP 3 which the only differences was that it had a mic embedded so you don't have to buy a mic which I bought for 30 frickin dollars and they moved the speakers and made the screen less shiny and more visible while playing outside in the sun. Trust me if you have a video game system, even an old Game Boy, you can't see it when you are outside in the daylight so that was a welcome addition.

Now they have come out with the PSPGo which is smaller and the screen slides up and down to hide or show the game controllers. It makes it cool so you can use it as your Mp3 player and not be pushing buttons all the time because they are hidden.

One issue that people are going to have with this is that if they already have UMD's that they bought for their PSP 1, 2 or 3, they are screwed. UMD Conversion a no-go for PSP Go.

Another issue people are having is that they are charging $50 more for this and which if you pay $50 more you might as well buy a PS3.

It doesn't have a camera which is another issue. My issue is that it doesn't have a GPS either. They made the camera and GPS for Asia but they never sent it over to the U.S., not sure if Europe ever got it but we didn't. If I want the GPS I gotta buy it from the PSP Asia store and it's all in a different language and I'm sure all the maps are in Japanese too.

Another issue for me is the lack of a keyboard. It's next to impossible to use this to chat with people via the PSP Browser. You can use ebuddy for this thing but if you want to IM with people 1 sentence takes forever to type and by the time you have it all typed out the person you are talking to have already sent you 5 messages. It's not an ideal IMing device.

Well this is great for those people who don't have a PSP because they can just start their collection with the PSPGo. But for those of us who already own a PSP, too bad so sad.

Rogaine

A couple of days ago I made a post about Rogaine Foam and last night I was at the grocery store Albertson's to buy shampoo and body wash and I saw their Rogaine.  They charge a little bit more for the foam than Walmart does but then I noticed they also have the regular Rogaine that they came out with 20 years ago and next to that it's generic counterpart.

Regular Rogaine is $60 but the generic version is $30 about half that price.  That was the sale price though.  I guess it's normal price is $40.  Oh this is for the 3 month supply so it's not for 1 month.  But it's on sale right now for $30 or something so as soon as I get my check I'm buying a box to see if it even works at all.

The generic brands name is Equaline™.  I've bought that generic name for a lot of things at Albertson's and yeah some of them are crappy.  I will never buy Equaline™ razors again because they hurt.  But then so does Gillette.  I only buy good news razors.  But there are other products like cough medicine that is just as good as the regular expensive brand because they have the same ingredients so it still works the same but you pay less.

Someone made a comment in my Rogaine Foam post saying I need to take some pill called Propecia and for the name brand it's $145 for the drug but I did see that the generic version is about the same price as the Rogaine Foam but I think for 1 month supply.  It's still a bit expensive and I don't want to take a pill.  I want to actually put a treatment on my scalp.

I know with the Rogaine Foam you have to put it on your head 2 times daily.  I don't know about regular Rogaine.  Whatever it is I will do it so I too can look like Rod Blagovich.  I've always wanted helmet head.

Dane/Gayheart Sex Tape

Ok, you know I love it when the stars make sex tapes.  I watched the Anderson/Lee, Screech and Paris Hilton vid's.  I'm trying to think of who else.  I'm sure it will cum to me.

First of all, who makes a sex tape when they are in the public eye unless they are hoping it gets out?  You don't do that if you don't want it to leak.  The Paris Hilton tape got leaked because the guy she was having sex with in the video was a film maker so she walked right into that one.  The Pam Anderson tape leaked because someone "stole" it.  Screech made his video with the purpose of selling it so he could keep his house lol.

I saw 3 1/2 minutes of this tape and it's too grainy to see Eric Danes "McSteamy".  You could clearly see Rebecca Gayheart and the other womans tits while they were in the bath tub talking about the other womans 7 year old brother.  But the tape that I saw didn't have any sex in it.  It was quite boring and since it was too grainy it was hardly worth watching to see "McSteamy".

They are suing whoever leaked the video for money but all I see is that they aren't famous enough like they were when they first got famous so they need to be in the spotlight again and this is the perfect way to get in the tabloids.

Netbooks

I've been doing some research into the Netbook craze.  I'm not sure that it's a craze but let's just go with that.

Ok so I've gone to several websites to do price checks.

AT&T sells netbooks for $299.99 and you get a $100 mail-in rebate.  They have 2 plans for going online.  200MB for $40 a month and 5GB for $60 a month.

Verizon Wireless sells a HP Mini 1151NR Netbook for $299.99 and you get a $100 instant online rebate so you are only paying $199.99 for your netbook.  They have 2 plans for going online.  250MB for $39.99 a month and 5GB for $59.99 a month.

I couldn't find any netbooks at the T-Mobile and Sprint websites.

But I think you get the idea with AT&T and Verizon.  There is not much difference.  Both charge $200 for the netbook (after respective rebates) and charge $40 for 200-250mb and $60 for 5GB which is obviously the better choice.

If you decide you want a netbook but not a plan you can always go to Amazon and buy a netbook without a plan and just go to wifi hotspots and get the internet for free.  The only downside is that you are going to pay a lot more for the Netbook.  I see their lowest price is $250 and their highest price is $450.

Personally I think you are better off getting one for $200 at a cell phone company than buying it standalone without a plan because there is no point searching for a Starbucks just to read your email and look at porn.  I think they kick you out for that though.  I'm pretty sure.

Preserving the sanctity of marriage

I just love that Khloe Kardashian and LA Laker Lamar Odom are preserving the sanctity of marriage by getting married after only dating for 3 weeks.  Isn't it such a wonderful thing?  I mean, just think about it, you know someone for 3 weeks and you just know, you just know that you have found your soul mate and you just have to get married.

That was so much sarcasm I just couldn't go on.  It just makes me so sick that it's ok for these stars to get married at the drop of a hat just because they can yet there are people out there who have been together for 10-40 years and they can't even get married.  Chip and I have been together for 15 years and his cousin and her girlfriend have been together for something like 20 or 25 years, I can't remember but it's a long time.  Yet they can never get married, well in California at least.

I'm always seeing how these stars get married and they are married for a day and get annulled or the stars who are only married for a few months and their whole relationship is toast.  It's so easy for them to get married just because they can.  It's like they are taking what they have for granted yet I can never experience it as long as I live in California.

The one star who has really impressed me and made me like him more than ever is Brad Pitt who said that he and Angelina Jolie will not get married until ALL of the people in the US can get married.  Now that is a stand up person.  I liked him throughout his career but I wasn't as huge a fan until he made that statement.  Then I fell head over heels.

So congrats on your 3 week relationship Khloe and I hope that your 6 week - 6 month marriage is worth the 6 digits you are going to spend on your wedding.

Poochigian for a seat on the 5th District Court of Appeal yesterday. We find this appointment by the Governor to be appalling. Not only because Poochigian voted against every LGBT bill that came before him while in the legislature. Not only because the Judicial Nomination Committee of the State Board found him “Not Qualified.” Not only because the National Organization for Women-California Chapter and other groups are opposed to his appointment due to his dismal record on issues pertaining to the rights of women, people of color, people with disabilities and workers. But because all Californians will have to wonder about his commitment to justice when important issues come before the Court. Poochigian’s appointment is an example of why we need to elect a governor in 2010 who will select candidates who support our equality. I wonder if the result would have been the same if the nominee had opposed laws to ban employment discrimination against another minority group. As the only group to testify against Poochigian at the hearing, EQCA believes it is critical that our community’s issues are heard, and they were — front and center. For more than two hours, the issue of discrimination and bias against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Californians was presented to the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court, the Attorney General, the Presiding Judge of the 5th District Court of Appeals and dozens of judges attending this hearing. Going forward I hope you will share with me any instances of legal proceedings where Chuck Poochigian’s lack of support for equal rights under the law – or that of any judge – is demonstrated. Mackenzie Phillips Incestuous Relationship

Mackenzie Philips wrote a book about her life and in the book she shockingly revealed that her father basically raped her while she was passed out.  She woke to find him having sex with her.  After awhile it became consensual.  She was 19 years old the first time (that she knows of) so until she was 29 she stopped.

Her father was in the Mama's and the Papa's who was a hippie band from the 1960's.  I only knew who they were from Scooby Doo episodes in the 70's lol.

A heavy drug user at the time, Mackenzie was 19 when the incident allegedly occurred. "I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too," she says. "Eventually I passed out on Dad's bed. ... My father was not a man with boundaries. He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father."

As her life began to spiral out of control due to drug use, Phillips said the incestuous relationship became consensual. "Had this happened before? I didn't know," Phillips said. "All I can say is it was the first time I was aware of it."

Personally I don't think it's necessary for her to even talk about it.  Why after all these years did she decide to disclose this kind of thing?  I mean it's one thing if you are saying he did it to you without your consent but then to say that you were having relations with your own father for 10 years is kind of sad.

I just don't understand why now that he's dead she's talking about it.  It's like she is blaming him now for something that she had complete control of.  Yeah the first time she wasn't in control because she was so high that she was passed out on HIS bed but you have to ask yourself why she was doing drugs with her father in the first place.  She was 19 so she could've told him no and left and maybe had a fight over it but she chose to keep the relationship going.

In my mid 20's I went to therapy because I have a lot of issues lol.  There was one time that I was blaming someone for something and she told me that it's time for me to stop blaming other people and start taking responsibility for my own actions.  Basically what I'm saying is that she needs to do the same.  Blame him for the first time but stop blaming him for the 10 years that you were doing it consensually.

Rogaine Foam

I've been thinking about it a lot lately.  I'd like my hair back.  I started noticing I was going bald when I was 16 years old because the hair on the top of my head was a lot thinner than the rest of my head.  I have thick hair so having thin hair on the top was a very large clue that something was going wrong.

When I was 19 I already had a bald spot on the top of my head and was already being called chrome dome by my brother-in-law (ex now).  That was when I first heard about Rogaine but it was too expensive so I just never tried it.  I worked at Clark Drugs in Canoga Park at the time and the pharmacist confronted me telling me all about Rogaine lol.  He never spoke to me until they came out with Rogaine.  He gave me a brochure and let me take home a video to watch then return it.

At first I was excited about it until I saw how much it cost.  I think it was $50-$60 per month back then but now it's gotten a lot cheaper.  Naturally 20 years later I decide to think about it.

I've been seeing all these Rogaine Foam commercials on tv and so I decided to go to their website and check it out.  You can buy a pack of 4 cans of the Rogaine Foam for $60 but that is a 4 month supply.  If you break it down that makes each can $15.  If you buy 1 can it's $30 so yeah it's worth buying a 4 month supply.

Walmart sells it (not online though) for $47.97.  It's not a 4 month supply but more a 3 month supply but that breaks down to $16 per can which is still a good price and well worth it.

Walgreens is actually cheaper.  Well, it's currently on sale for $44.99 but that just brings the price down to $15 per can.  Their regular price is $49.99 which is $16.66 per can.

So knowing that it's cheaper than it was 20 years ago I'm giving this some serious thought.  If I buy it I think I'm going to buy it from Walmart since I don't want to pay shipping costs from the Rogaine website.

If I do start using Rogaine again it's going to have to be for the rest of my life.  It's not an easy fix, it does grow your hair back (in 85% of men who use it) but once you stop using it the hair you regrew will fall out.  So it's only a temporary fix.

Now I'm completely bald on the top of my head so I wonder if all of that will regrow or if some of it will regrow.  And yes I do realize that it will take 2-4 months before it starts to work which might become frustrating if I'm using it for 4 months before it grows.  I'm the type of person who likes instant action hehe.

I will have to hide it under lock and key though.  Chip will run out of hairspray for his long hair then decide the rogaine foam is like mouse then he will get into the habit of using my rogaine and next thing you know he's Cousin Itt.

I think that it would be neat to have these turn back the clock and bring me back to my youth when I was skinny.  And if this would give me super human powers like running really fast like Clark Kent and bending steel with my bare hands and maybe flying.  I wonder if it would let me fly?  That would be a plus.

I'm not that sure that I want to spend the next couple thousand years on this planet especially if everyone is getting these upgrade because there will be too many people taking up space.  We would end up having to leave Earth and colonize on other planets.  Our other planets don't have oxygen to sustain life so the only way we could leave the planet and go to another one is if we found a way to give the other planets an atmosphere like in Total Recall.

If I lived forever with these nanobots I want 2 things.  I don't want to eat anymore and I don't want to sleep anymore.  That way I can work for 24 hours straight with my new abilities so I can make lots of money.

One of the plus's is that all disease will be gone.  No more AIDS, Cancer, flu, colds etc.  No one would be sick anymore.

I would love to have this because I really want to see when Earth leaves the planet.  I would love to be on the first Earth ship that explores the stars in the USS Enterprise.  That would so rock my socks off.  I want to go boldly where no gay has gone before.

Eastwick

Eastwick was on tonight on ABC at 10pm.  I didn't even know it was coming until early this summer when I was checking on which shows were coming back for a new season.  I found it on the Futon Critic website.

At first I thought the pilot episode was a rundown of the movie but what I learned from IMDB was that all the characters aren't even the same.  Daryl Van Horne is the only returning character.

The 3 Witches:

• Rebecca Romijn plays Roxanne (Roxie) Torcoletti (the Blond) and her powers are of premonition.  She dreams and it comes true which is a good power I guess but she needs to hone that skill while she's awake.


• Lindsay Price plays Joanna Frankel (the Brunette) who has the power to manipulate men with her gaze.  She can get a raise at work, make men give her all of the money in their wallets, seduce men whether they like it or not.  It doesn't work with women though which could pose a problem.


• Jaime Ray Newman plays Kat Rougemont (the Redhead) and her powers are that of the elements.  So far she created an earthquake and struck lightning down on her husband.

Then these 2 characters

• Paul Gross plays Darryl Van Horne aka the Devil.


• Veronica Cartwright plays Bun.  I'm not sure who this character is because in the movie she played Felicia Alden.  Perhaps Bun is her gramma name?

In the movie the witches were Alex, Jane and Sukie.  This new show is obviously not a remake of the movie because there are some subtle changes like for example all the names are different.  In the movie the brunette (Cher) was the artist but in this show the blond (Rebecca Romijn) is the artist.

At the end of the pilot episode, Penny (who is Joannas friend) reveals that Darryl Van Horne died so this guy is a fake.  And yes it's true.  In the movie they killed him but then at the very end of the movie they show him as like a giant so you know he's not dead, he's the Devil.  Wheres he gonna go?  Back to hell?  If he can come to earth to manipulate the witches then obviously he can come back.  You can't kill him.

So in this new show he's just found 3 new women to turn into witches.  I have a strange feeling that at the end of this season they are all going to give birth to his babies and they will kill him and all live in the mansion lol.  Maybe not, who knows.

Bottom line is that it's another witch show which is awesome.  It doesn't replace Charmed for me but it's very similar, well, if they start killing demons then it will replace it but I highly doubt it will be like that.  Whatever they do I'm sure it will still be cool.  It's a supernatural show and that's what I like to watch.

Vampire Princess Leia

It actually looks like a paperback novel from the picture with it's worn cover so I don't think this is a costume but it's an idea for a costume.  Actually it's not even a novel, it looks more like a poster.  It says in that page that it is Hand numbered and limited to just 300 pieces and Measures 10x14 inches.  It's more of a blown up photo that they are selling for a whopping $40.

The Star Wars Shop has lots of Halloween costumes and props right in their website.  They have a bunch of characters to dress up as like Luke, Leia, X-Wing Pilot, Boba Fett, Padme Amidala, Storm Trooper, Han Solo, Chewbacca t-shirt lol and many more.  They have a Jedi costume as well as a Darth Vader mask.

The costumes and props are actually reasonably priced so even if you are on a really tight budget you could probably still afford to buy a costume for yourself.  And just like the Vampire Leia idea, you can embellish any of the costumes to make them more interesting.

I actually like this.  The thing I liked about the Amazon Kindle was that you could go to the Amazon website on your Kindle and browse books and that they were $9.99 instead of $30.  This thing has the same deal but with Barnes and Noble.  And since IREX who is a spinoff of the Philips company who makes tv's, vcr's, dvd's etc. you know they are already in the electronics biz so you know it's a good product.

They even stated that "IREX promises a color e-reader by 2011. Yay!"  That's what I've been waiting for too!  A touchscreen color e-reader.  And 2011 isn't too far off, I mean we're almost in 2010 in a few months.  Hey I need time to save money up for this thing lol.

Check out that screen too.  It's like a windows 3.1 desktop with it's icons hehe.  By 2011 when they have their color e-reader it could have a start button and basically just look like a laptop but much thinner.

I would like to know how many GB it has and if it takes an SD card too.  Yes those are very important for some people.  It doesn't need to be plugged into the computer but it would be nice if you had that option.  Or maybe you can email your pdf and picture files to the B&N website and then download it to your e-reader through their website via the free 3G connection just like the Kindle.

Oh and it says "the IREX renders newspapers with page layout intact, with readers able zoom in on articles for readability."  That is important that you can read your newspaper as is with all the pictures and you can see the layout of the actual newspaper.  That's cool.

They don't mention it but I'm sure magazines will be the same.  Right now on the Kindle when you read a magazine there are only articles, no pictures.  How the heck are you supposed to read a Playboy magazine on your e-reader with no pictures?  I mean, who reads those for the articles anyway?  Well, I don't read them because HELLO!  But still, straight men might want to look at boobies.

Did you see it?  Great.  What do you think?  I think it's so cool how you can write in the journal side over on the right and you can drag things over with your finger or stylus.  You write in the website address instead of typing.  Wait, does this mean all my blogs will be written?  Oh crap, then all the people who read my blog will be screwed because I suck at writing.  Well I guess this means I better go back to elementary school and relearn how to write with an actual pencil and paper.

First of all, notice that they said in that link that it's not a tablet.  It's a "booklet".  I'm sure this will have a freakin' huge price on it.  There is no price yet though because it is still secret lol.  Well, not anymore.

Just imagine in the future all the kids will have these in their backpacks instead of notebooks and textbooks.  It will replace both of those, sorry Trapper Keeper.  They can leave their backpacks in their locker while they roam around the halls to their classrooms with just 1 thing, this "booklet".  Their load will be much lighter than when I was in school.

And perhaps if 1 kid says hey can you share your notes you can open both of your booklets and the person with the good notes can flick their notes to the other person instead of waiting a half an hour for them to manually write it all down.  That would be awesome, well, for them anyway.

Warehouse 13 Season 1 Finale

Warehouse 13 just ended with a huge cliffhanger.  Good show eh?  At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it because it seemed like they were trying real hard to be like Eureka with the B&B and all and the warehouse being like Global Dynamics and such.

Well at the end it turns out that it's just like Eureka in the sense that the B&B lady was working under cover and she released the bad guy who BLEW UP the warehouse lol.  Well, not all of it but it appears that Artie is dead.  But that's what they want you to think because that's what a cliff hanger is for lol.  He's not dead, he had the phoenix on him.  But if he was holding it then 2 people will die, that's what happened when the big bald guy came out of the fire and the 2 lackeys died.

Well, even though I compare this to Eureka or say it's a wannabe eureka I still enjoyed it.  I guess it's not all that much like Eureka but it's still a good show and I can't wait until 2010 to see another season.

The Fresh Air Fund

Remember when it was summer and time for summer camp?  Well the Fresh Air Fund worked hard at the beginning of summer this year to raise enough money so that 8,000 children could go to camp in the New York area.  Here are some highlights.

It looks like the had a lot of fun.  As you can see in the video they did a lot of tie dye which is actually a fun activity.  We did that when I went to band camp in 1981 so I guess it's something that never goes out of style.

What I'm most happy about is that they got to go swimming.  Well, for them anyway.  Me, I had to suffer.  Why can't they have adult camps?  Hehe I kid.  No but seriously, where are the adult camps?

Heroes Season 4

Heroes was on last night with a 2 hour season premiere for season 4.  I just love this show.  Here is a synopsis from IMDB.

I'm glad they are off this kick of rounding up all the people with abilities.  When the 2nd season ended abruptly because of the writers strike the creator of the show decided that he didn't like the direction he was taking with the show so he figured he would start Season 3 with a new direction.  Well, I didn't like that new direction.  Maybe he didn't either and that's why he stopped going in that direction and let everyone live their life again and not be on the run from the law.

I would like to see this new season continue in the same way it was in season 1.

Nathan is dead but he's not.  That doesn't make any sense but it does lol.  Matt Parkman turned Syler into Nathan after Nathan died and now Syler is haunting Matt Parkman until he tells him where his body is.  He wasn't haunted until Angela called him and told him that Syler is going to emerge and now all of a sudden it's like his guilty conscious is haunting him.

What is Heroes without Syler?  Even though he is a figment of Matt's imagination we still need him in the show to make it interesting.

I look forward to more episodes and I hope they don't screw it up this time lol.

This Tampa Bay Florida Radio DJ asked her questions about him and she answered 3 of them but she asked if we could please move on to something else and he wouldn't so she walked out.  This poor girl.  I want to make a video where I'm crying with a sheet behind me and I have eyeliner running down my face screaming LEAVE TAYLOR ALONE! lol.

I think it's time to let this go.  It's been over a week and it's done.  She doesn't want this to be the focus of her career or why she's famous.  This could very well be the end of HER career too if people don't just drop it.  Why?  Because she's going to get so frustrated with this unwanted attention that she's going to end up pissing a lot of people off because they are pissing her off then people are going to stop liking her.  It could very well turn against her which I think is what Kanye was trying to do to her in the first place.

So let's just LEAVE TAYLOR ALONE Chris Crocker lol.

Holiday Light Sets for my blog

Ok I've already made 10 light sets for my blog for Halloween.  I know of some more light sets but I didn't know how to make them but I just figured it all out.  Tomorrow I'm going to be adding other light sets to my Halloween string.  I'm gonna go nuts with all the light sets hehe.  You can only see them 1 at a time when you load the page so if there is a lot to choose from you will never be bored with the same 2 lol.  I have 10 now but imagine that tomorrow I might have 20 more lol.  I'm goin nuts tomorrow when I wake up lol.

It's not just Halloween though, the possibilities are endless.  I'm thinking about cartoon lights like the simpsons, family guy, mickey mouse etc.  I'm even thinking about adding an icon of all of my friends and family members heads in a string just to show that I can lol.  Awesome.

This independent reading is much more than a just-sit-there-and-read experience. It gives the teacher a structured time to touch base with each student over a period of time, assess progress, and target instruction. Even more important, it gives students time to read what they want to read, share what they've read, and receive the support they need for further reading explorations and reflections.

Brilliant!  Absolutely brilliant.  When I was a kid my mother read a story to me and my sister every night before bed after she tucked us in.  But then those stories went away when she got pregnant with my younger sister.  I remember reading some books in my youth such as the Hardy Boys books and Ramona the pest.  I had a bunch of those books with pictures that are easy for children to read like Curious George.  I wasn't a huge reader in my childhood though, I mean when it comes to novels but I did read books meant for children.  I also read lots of comic books lol.

I think that this is a very good idea.  Drop everything and read for 15 minutes.  Brilliant.  But is 15 minutes really enough time?  And should this be something that is strictly for schools?  I think that this should be adopted at home too.  All of a sudden your parents go "STOP EVERYTHING AND READ".  But not 15 minutes.  I mean sure, if it's one of those books with pictures that only takes 10 minutes to read fine, 15 minutes is fine.  It will give the children with ADD and Dyslexia a chance to re-read each sentence.  But I think that they should read for a bit longer.  Maybe 2 hours?

Reading should be something that is mandatory for all children and adults. The drama stirs the imagination and that is what brings ideas to life.  How can a child think of something to draw if there is nothing brewing up there in the old noggin if he/she isn't reading?

J.K. Rowling brought Harry Potter to us all, children and adults.  Before that I'd say that I haven't read a book since my childhood.  In 2006 I decided that I need to start reading and so my first novel was a Buffy novel but that lead to reading Harry Potter which was by far the easiest thing to read.

Well I think that it's a good idea and they should make it longer and should be brought into the home.  Maybe if the kids stopped playing video games and started reading then perhaps it might get them to get out of the house and go play with their friends.  That way they can get some exercise.  That is if the parents aren't too paranoid to let their kids go out the front door.

You know that's a very interesting point. They want to take the word "marriage" away from us so we can't get married but we can have a civil union so why shouldn't they tell us that we can't call it Christmas. The jewish people have Hanukkah but they have a decorated tree in their living room called a Hanukkah bush (I had a Jewish best friend when I was 9). I say we should call it a gay bush especially if it's pink and purple lol.

That wasn't a joke.  In fact this whole post isn't a joke.  I think that gay Christians who do go to church to celebrate Christmas the way it is meant to be should do their thing.  No problem.  But for the rest of us who don't celebrate it for Jesus Christ, who celebrate it more for Santa Claus should think about calling it something else.  Not just the tree but the holiday itself.

Jewish people have Hanukkah, African American people have Kwanzaa, Christians have Christmas.

You can say that Christians don't want gay people to partake in anything that is Christian because after all, we are sinning against god by being alive right?  So why should we celebrate Christmas at all?  Why shouldn't we just call it something else for ourselves?  I'll be damned if they are going to take Christmas away from me so I think that we should change it for us.  I think it's only fair that we have a holiday for ourselves.  We can't have the word marriage but we can have union, to me it's the same deal.

I am a Christian, but I disagree with the majority on gay marriage. I realize Christmas has become a celebration not related to Christ at all, and that is fine. Really, it is a pagan holiday that Christians stole anyway. Christmas is Christmas so lets just leave it alone.

WHAT?  Christians stole Christmas from the pagans?  If it belonged to the Pagans then it wasn't meant as a holiday to celebrate Jesus Christ then right?  Then shit, it's not "gods" holiday anyway so we can change it for ourselves!  Then we can also "steal" it and change it's name.

2009 Emmy's

The 2009 Emmy's are on tonight at 8pm E/P.  I don't normally watch awards shows.  The only reason I watched the MTV VMA's last week was because I saw the talk on Facebook about Kanye West.  I don't think something like that will happen again though so I think it's safe for me not to have to watch it lol.

I already found out that Kathy Griffin went to the Schmemmies and lost the award to Intervention.

So that's all the emmy's I need to know about lol.  I might watch.  I have the E! red carpet on right now.  Oh alright I'll watch it.

Edit: 2 hours into the red carpet and I've already heard 3 or 4 references to Kanye West.  It's even a verb now to "pull a kanye" lol awesome.

Show was great, I don't normally care to watch these but I'm glad I did because my favorite gay guy Neil Patrick Harris was the host with the most.  He did such a good job and the people who won the awards even told him he did a good job.  He's a great singer too by the way.

OMG there were a lot of Kanye jokes.  I started to feel bad for him but then that feeling went away after awhile.

Halloween Theme

I've been working on changing my blog theme to a Halloween theme by changing this and adding that.  Over the last couple of days I've been putting it in as a test so I can see how it looks then putting the regular theme back on.  I think I have it all ready to go.  I'm going to change it on October 1st.

One of the features will be like a string of holiday lights that are in a motion going to the right and every time you reload the page or go to another page or post the holiday lights change.  I have 8 of them for Halloween.

I'm also working on Thanksgiving and Christmas theme so they are all ready to go when it's time.  I just wish I had a theme scheduler that I can use lol.

Here is a thumbnail of what the Halloween theme will look like.  I really hope that people like it.  The banner has pumpkins that I have carved over the years.

On October 1st I'm also going to change my new blog name from Mikes Blog to whatever wins in the poll.  Or maybe if the result is to keep it the same then it will be the same.  It looks like Xanapus' Lair is ahead in the polls which would actually work with the Halloween theme lol.  I'm also going to change the title from "Secret Diary of a Gay Nerd" to "Secret Diary of a Gay Zombie" for Halloween hehe.  Thanksgiving I will be a gay turkey and Christmas I will be a gay elf lol.  I just thought I would over share lol.

Pez Museum Lawsuit

The company who makes the Pez dispenser is suing this museum in Burlingame for copyright infringement.  He built this giant pez dispenser with the snowman pez as his model and since he put the Pez logo on the side of it he violated the copyright of the Pez product.

He also scratched off the smiley face of a smiley face Pez and put words on it which they say violates their copyright too.  I hope I'm using the correct terminology.  Anyway, he also changed a truck so it says Obama 08 for Pezident.

This is pure douchery on the Pez company's part because they are suing him for 14 years of profits from his museum.  So if they win he has to pay them every dime that he has made from sales of pez dispensers, candy and the fee to look at his personal collection of 500 pez dispensers.  I think it's weird that he charges people to look at his collection but whatever.  It's a Pez Museum so that's why.

This guy says that he thinks that they are suing him because they want the rights to open a museum.  So freakin what!  Open your museum Pez company.  Go for it, you don't have to sue this guy so you can have your own museum just open up another one in the city/state that you make them in.  Hell, put a museum in your plant and open it up to the public.

Personally I would just tell the guy to add in his museum title that it's the "Unofficial" pez museum.  If it says unofficial then they can't do anything to him about shutting down his museum.  Then again I don't know the law so I can't so what they can and cannot do.

By the way, the snowman pez that this guy built was put in the Guinness book of records for the biggest pez dispenser so they are probably going to take that title away from him and build their own just to show this guy up.

Keep the change

I know I'm probably going to piss some people off with this but I have to say it.

I was watching tv and turned to CNN and there was Michelle Obama talking about healthcare.  Why are these democrats so hell bent on changing our healthcare system?  I mean come on.  Don't they know what they are doing to us?  It sucks!

I've been watching these people from England and Canada talking about how shitty their heath care is.  People are dying from cancer over there because they can't get the same healthcare that we have over here.  In fact some of them come to America just to go to our doctors and they end up living longer than they would have had they suffered with their own healthcare system.

This one woman was on, I forgot what her deal was but she had some disease and the doctors told her that she hasn't suffered enough, that there were people a lot older than she was and they were still suffering so she needs to suffer the same as everyone else.  Her kid has the same disease and he could wait years for help and the doctors would probably tell him to suffer too.

The woman said that she was going to America to fix his issue but if this new Obamacare comes into place then her son will never get helped.

Just imagine if all the med students change their mind about being a doctor knowing that by the time they graduate they won't have a job to go to because of this new Obamacare.  There won't be any doctors to help you because with this new healthcare doctors are going to get paid less.  This one guy on the news said yesterday that he charges $60 for a patient to walk in the front door, if it goes down to $40 he's gonna quit.  So he's going to quit over $20 what does that tell you?

Ok I'm getting off of my soap box now.  By the way, I am not a republican.  I am not a democrat.  I consider myself an independent.  I really don't follow any particular side because sometimes I like the republican and sometimes I like the democrat.  I'm not sure which wing I am, probably left wing.  I'm no conservative that's for sure lol.  Hello!  I'm gay...  lol.

Jailed for wearing Pants

Take a gander at this.  This Sudanese woman journalist Lubna Ahmed al-Hussein was fined for wearing a pair of trousers.  She refused to pay the 500 Sudanese pounds ($200) fine and so they put her in jail.

Apparently over there it's against the law for a woman to wear trousers.

I've never been to Sudan but according to what people always tell me the middle east is a hot place so I think wearing a pair of pants is probably not a good idea anyway.  I think I'd rather wear a dress then sit near a fan so the air goes up into it so it can cool me down.

If this woman was a journalist and she is from there then she knows the laws.  I'm not saying the laws aren't f'd up because they are but it is their laws.  She knew the law, she knew the consequence.

Just imagine if she wore a pair of shorts, omg she'd get the death penalty for sure.

I just don't understand their laws.  I mean, you get fined (as a woman) for wearing pants and go to jail for PANTS?  That is so f'd up.  Poor woman.  She probably sees Hilary Clinton going over there wearing her pant suits and thinks "hey if she can do it so can I" then she goes to jail for it.  Nice going Hilary, I hope you are happy now that you put a woman in jail.

Smallville Season 9

I'm very excited and anxious to see the new season of Smallville coming in a couple of weeks.  I was hoping that it would've began with Supernatural but they aren't even on the same day anymore.

Wow it looks like a very dark season according to this teaser trailer.  I'm glad to see Clark embracing his shield on his chest and sort of having a cape but it's all black instead of blue and red.  Come on Clark, where's the tights with the underwear on the outside and the boots and cape?  I want to know when the glasses are coming too because how are people supposed to be able to be fooled by the cape when he's not putting his trademark "glasses" disguise on.  I mean, is his disguise going to be that curl over his forehead?  Is he even gonna make that little curl?

This is a very long show, I mean Season 9?  That's pretty freakin' good.  I'm a little confused though.  It's supposed to be that when he gets his job with the Daily Planet that he already has a costume before he meets Lois.  Go ahead and watch the first Superman movie if you don't believe me.

I keep saying perhaps at the end of "this" season he will embrace his destiny and on the last episode he'll be wearing tights.  But no, now they are on Season 9 which don't get me wrong I'm glad they mixed it up but the show is going a bit off track.  Lex Luthor dies?  Clark never wears glasses?  Lana having powers?  Mom is a state senator living in D.C.?  Jimmy Olsen DIES!?!?  What?

I'm pretty sure that Lex is back though because they showed a naked body at the very end in the back yard from that thing that had all the light in it.  So I'm pretty sure that is Lex come back to life so they are at least saving him.  Maybe he will be eviler than ever, is that even a word?  Maybe, just maybe he will come back with no memory so he won't remember that he knows that Clark is really "the traveler" but then he will meet the Clark with the black cape and shield and think that this Clark is different than the real Clark in blue and red lol.  It's confusing!

Despite all the strange changes I still love the show, I'm still obsessed and I'm holding my breath until September 25th 2009.

Oh did you notice in this teaser Callum Blue?  He's going to play Zod and is already showing up in his IMDB profile as being in 9 episodes for 2009.  AWESOME!

I've had enough of DDO

I like the Dungeons and Dragons Online game (the free version) but apparently it doesn't like me too much.  Every time I go into this one zone from Misery's Peak all of a sudden my internet connection dies long enough for the game to crash but then it bounces back and I'm online again.  I don't get it.  Also I've noticed that now I can't reboot my computer without crashing the whole network (DSL router).  If I reboot then I lose connection for the entire network so I have reset everything by turning off the DSL modem, unplugging the router blah blah blah.

So, I've decided that DDO is history.  All of this crap I think is directly related to DDO so it's gone.  I mean I can't really blame the game but why does it crash my internet connection every time I go in that 1 zone?  Why even allow me to play the game at all?

It's a trial anyway, I can get to level 20 and that's it.  Once I get to level 20 the game is done.  I'm sure I can play for years with level 20 but whats the point if it's all the same zone every time?  I will probably never be able to leave that island so why even bother?  I mean, I might as well play the EQ game that you can only get to level 10 with.

Eh, I have lots of other things going on in my life that I can't be bothered by online games.  Maybe if I were bored that's one thing but I'm not that bored lol.

I've been trying to think of what would make building a PVC bicycle trailer worth my time and energy if I don't have electricity.  Solar panels are expensive and it's probably not easy to ride a bicycle with turbines attached to the back of the trailer.

This is the perfect solution.  Granted you are going to have to make your trailer roof flat and not rounded but I kind of figured it wouldn't be easy to make a rounded roof anyway.  This doesn't require that much sun either to produce a lot of electricity and these panels are cheaper to buy than solar panels are.

They are still in development but let's wait and see if these actually do make it to the big market and are widely available at your local Home Depot.  Or online maybe.

Wow, all I have to say is wow.  This product is just the most usless product I've ever seen lol.  I mean sure you can find a wifi hotspot but where is the tinfoil hat that goes with this?

Dowsing Rods were an old form of searching for water.  I hate to tell you but it's not the 1500's anymore and the last time I checked there wifi hotspot isn't hiding with the water.

I've actually seen smaller products that do find wifi hotspots that don't make you look crazy.  In fact, you don't even need to search for a wifi hotspot, just go to Starbucks and McDonald's, they have them for free.  They also have them at some book store chains like Barnes & Noble.  All you have to do is look for the sign in the window that says FREE WIFI and you are good to go and you don't have to worry about looking like a fashion disaster.

Ads on My Blog

Ok, I put these ads in here at the beginning of September because I wanted to help make it easier for me to pay for my website every month and my domain every year and possibly have some extra but it doesn't seem to be working out for me.

On October 1st 2009 when I change my blogs name (per poll results) I'm going to remove all ads if they prove no revenue gained from lack of clicks and if the page impressions aren't doing any good.

One thing that has been irritating me is going to my own website and having popup ads break through my popup blocker.  Also one of the issues is that it tells me that my computer has a virus and tries to scan for them but I've seen that before, they just want you to buy their software so they try to trick you like that.  So it's for that very reason I want to get rid of all the ads but I'm willing to give them a full month before getting rid of them all.

If I can make some extra money to help pay for this site then I'm gonna go for it but if it doesn't do me any good then it's not worth it.

My Pet Peeves

I have pet peeves.  No, I don't have a cat named peeves.

It really irritates me when I go to the fridge and there is something empty in there.  If I see an empty gallon of milk then I'm the one who has to throw it away and I didn't even finish it.  Oh but it wasn't finished.  There was at least half a sip left.

When I go to pour the ice trays out into the ice bucket in the freezer and there's nothing in the ice tray.  OMG that irritates me so much.  The arrowhead is right next to the fridge, it doesn't take but 5 seconds to fill the ice tray.

Well, I woke up this morning and went to the fridge to have some cereal but all the cereal is gone, all the milk (but half a sip) is gone so now I gotta go to the store on my bike to get all that.  Eh screw it, I'm gettin a maple cinnamon roll!  So there!

Preserve your Jack-O-Lantern

It's September so now is the time to start shopping for Halloween stuff.  You better get on this before they run out.  There is this stuff called Dr. Frybrain's Pumpkin Embalmer that I spoke about in September 2007 that I just updated with the new information.

It used to be that you had to buy this stuff through Jack-o-lanter.com but that site is gone.  Now you have to buy it directly from the source.

What you do is you put the water in a 5 gallon bucket, pour in the mixture and mix it up with a stick or large spoon then carve your pumpkin and soak it in the bucket for 24 hours.  When you pull your pumpkin out the next day it will be very wet and it will have this white film on it that you just rub off with a towel.  Your pumpkin can last for weeks instead of days.

I bought this stuff in 2007 and it was great.  The pumpkins didn't last a couple or few weeks but they did last longer than normal which is what 2 days?  I'd say they lasted maybe a week and half as opposed to 2 days so that was good.  I would recommend this product.

It used to be $7.99 plus shipping but now it's $5.99 plus shipping so you can at least save $2 now.  If you don't have an old 5 gallon bucket from an old painting job and you aren't willing to dumpster dive in a work site then you can buy a brand spanking new bucket from them for $5.99.

Check this baby out.  It's a universal remote control that you wave at the tv, vcr, dvd player etc and you can control the volume, channel up/down, power etc.

How it works is that you have to learn all of the commands like how to flick and swish and it makes the feather float, er um wait no that's not right.  But seriously you have to move the wand like harry potter to make it do stuff.

Yeah I think that would be great for a nerd like me but I don't think grandma and grandpa is going to like this very much especially with their arthritis.  Actually it's probably not the best thing for my carpel tunnel syndrome.

Click the link above to get the full story.  Basically what they are saying is that AT&T is saying that playing MMORPG games is an "aspirational service" which basically means they want to charge you more to play online games on top of the already high DSL cost that you pay every month.

If AT&T starts to tell me that if I want to play my MMORPG games that I have to pay an extra fee I'm gonna tell them to kiss me where the sun don't shine.  I'm gonna get my broadband service with my cable company which actually costs more but I would get a better internet connection.

It does bother me that they are trying to do that because it's like all they are thinking about is their pockets during a time that people are losing their jobs and this is the only thing they have to entertain them while they are trying to find a new job.

AT&T is already a rich company.  They've been around as long as I can remember as a long distance service before taking over SBC who took over Pac Bell.  If they take away my games I'm also going to get a new phone service because that's just pure BS.  I can get phone service with the cable company Bright House and see the Caller ID on my tv set which I think is better so I don't have to find the phone to know that I'm not going to pick it up lol.

I actually think it's neat because my earbuds are painful sometimes especially on the bike when they are ripped out of my ears by my leg lol.  These still plug in so maybe it's the same deal but probably more painful because they are the shape of my ear.

These kind of remind me of when musicians have their ear molded for their earpiece that they have to keep in their ears while on stage.

Oh and hey they already have my initials in the picture "MSM" so maybe they've already molded my ears and didn't tell me lol.  Can you imagine having your ear molded for earbuds?  Oh it's not cheap.  It's $375 so perhaps it's not the best product for this recession right now but maybe some day it might be better, say oh I don't know, the future?

I think for that price they should be bluetooth and you only need the plug when you are charging them.

Jessica Simpsons Dog

My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!

I hate to be the asshat here but Jessica, honey, darling, sweetheart... your dog is gone.  A coyote took your dog right in front of your eyes, well he's not holding it for ransom.

This whole thing hurts me inside because believe me, I am so putting myself into her shoes here.  I have a toy chihuahua who I love to death with every fiber of my being and it would kill me if I saw a coyote snatch my dog because I would know that she's dead and she's been eaten.  My heart breaks just thinking about it so I know where she's at.

The best thing to do is just celebrate her life and get on with yours because she's not coming back.  I'm so sorry.

My Shoulder

In July I posted that I had a misfortune with my Ergo seat for my bicycle that I bought to help the numbness in my crotch but it was pushing me toward the handlebars instead which ended up causing issues with my shoulder instead.  I was taking steroids for 6 days and muscle relaxers for a month but that didn't help at all.  My doctor gave me some vicodin which has basically just totally numbed the pain altogether.

I didn't want to post anything about it because it still hurts despite the vicodin and I was afraid I was going to jinx it so I kept quiet.

Today I haven't had any vicodin all day and I haven't had any pain either.  Well, a little bit while I was frustrated with my internet issues but the pain didn't last very long at all.

I'm confident that I will be back on my bike soon.  I don't want to go out on my 2 - 2 1/2 hour rides just yet because I want to give it a lot more time to heal.  I'm just afraid I'm going to cause pain before it's totally healed.  It's been almost 2 months though and I'm getting frustrated with the weight that I have gained since I quit riding which is 13lbs now.

Since I quit riding my bicycle I also quit eating right too.  Well, I was eating right for about 2 weeks and despite my good diet I was gaining weight with the lack of exercise so I said f it, I'm buying a donut.  A donut here, a donut there who cares since I'm gaining with salads lol.  So now that I'm going to be able to ride again soon I'm gonna have to start eating right again.

Oh speaking of eating right, I went to the dietitian about a week ago and she said that my glucose was high, like really high.  It's supposed to be about 100 but mine was 195 which didn't make sense because the blood was taken way before I stopped exercising and I was eating right for a long time so it doesn't make sense that now I'm basically classified as a diabetic.  Yes, she said I'm basically diabetic.  So that's my motivation to start eating right even though eating right made me diabetic lol.  I can't win.

Big Brother 11 Finale

I didn't watch this latest installment of Big Brother because I had other shows and I didn't really have that much time in my life this time around to spend on watching hours upon hours of Big Brother.  I watched the Showtime live feeds here and there but wasn't as loyal a viewer as I was during the last 2 seasons.

Tonight on the season finale the final 3 were Jordan, Natalie and Kevin.  Jordan won HOH then evicted Kevin so she and Natalie were the final 2.

Blah blah blah...

Jordan wins Big Brother 11 which is $500,000 half a million yay good for her.  Just wait until she sees how much she really gets after Obama gets his half.  In second place is Natalie winning the $50,000 prize.  Then America's favorite houseguest award goes to Jeff which is $10,000.

I'm so happy for all the people who won some money yay good for all of them.

Kanye Apology (x4)

Ok so Kanye apologized twice on his blog, the first one he posted the night he dissed Taylor and then the next day he deleted it and posted the 2nd one where he compared himself to Ben Stiller lol.

Then he went onto the Jay Leno show last night which was the night after it all happened and gave an apology where he was like a little puppy dog but then he was all better because he was able to perform on stage with Jay-Z and Rihanna.

This morning Taylor was on the View talking about what happened and so finally after that was over he called her and apologized to her and she gracefully accepted.

Well good for her.  It's nice that she accepted his apology but she has no clue that this isn't an isolated incident and that he's done this kind of thing before and needs this humiliation to get the hint that he needs to stop doing this kind of shit.  His ego needs to be taken down about 20 notches.

Oh and what nobody saw (the TV audience) was that when he got off the stage and he heard all the booing he flipped the bird to the audience who was booing him.  And he said on Jay Leno that he didn't realize he was doing a shitty thing until he didn't hear Taylor finish her speech, then he was like oh shit did I do that?  Yes you did.

People all over the country have already deleted him off their iPods.  This whole thing has started a bad chain reaction and may this be a lesson to all the other egomaniacle jerks out there who think they can just do whatever they want when they want to.

Oh and he blamed the fact that he's been working so hard and that his mom died and all these other BS execuses which are a complete cop out.  There is no excuse for what he did.

Ok I'm over it now lol.

Oh by the way, President Obama said today that Kanye was a Jackass.  HA!  That's a little strange that the president is butting into this.  Didn't he learn his lesson when he said that the cop who arrested his professor friend "acted stupidly"?  Is he going to invite Kanye West over for a beer now to apologize?
