Hedwig's Theme

This is more of a note for me.  I recently bought a new Nokia 3390 (actually used) cell phone to replace my old cell phone and since my old one had this ringtone and the new one doesn't I had to search for the ringtone for the composer.  This is the ringtone that I had to enter into the composer:

Harry Potter Hedwigs Theme:Tempo=125:8.c2, 16#d2, 8d2, 4c2, 8g2, 4.f2, 4.d2, 8.c2, 16#d2, 8d2, 4b1, 8#c2, 4g1, 4-, 8g1, 8.c2, 16#d2, 8d2, 4c2, 8g2, 4#a2, 8a2, 4#g2, 8e2, 8.#g2, 16g2, 4#f2, 8-, 8#d2, 4.c2, 4-, 8g1

Just in case I need to find that website again or if I want to use another ringtone here is the link:

http://www.free-nokia-ringtones.uk.com/free-nokia-ringtones-H.html

Update: Ok this sucks major big time.  The website I got this from is gone.  But, for me it doesn't matter because I'm probably going to be upgrading my cell phone soon anyway.  Most people don't have these old cell phones anymore because they all have iPhones or blackberries or whatever the latest cellphone is.  So, it's all good.  At least I was able to paste the song into here for future reference.

Our Return

We went to San Diego on Friday and came home today at around 1:30pm.  On Saturday morning, first thing, we went to the swap meet at the drive in movie theater and Chip gave me $5 and told me to get something if I wanted to.  I normally don't because they walk so fast that I can't keep up so I can't really look to see if there is something I want.

When we first got there we had breakfast at the "roach coach" - teriyaki chicken shish-kabobs and a cup of coffee.  Then just before we were gonna walk around, June went by herself because she doesn't want to feel like she is keeping someone from looking if she walks too fast and she doesn't want to be on the other side of that.  So then Butch asked if we wanted to go on our own and Chip asked me if I had the cell phone and I said yes.  I took it out of my pocket and it was not on even though I remember turning it on and it was charged.  I pushed the power button and it just would not turn on.  So, we ended up going with Butch since there was no way he could contact us when it was time to go.

We were walking around and I spotted these cell phones at this one booth that were the same model that I have, they had 2.  So I called Chips name because I had stopped but they kept walking.  They came over and I said I wonder if this would work.  All I have to do is remove my Simm card and put it in the new phone.  So I bought it for $5 and they high fived the kid who I gave the money to hehe.  I don't know why.  When we left the swap meet and got in the car I took the simm card out of my phone and the battery too and just switched them with the new one and viola it worked.  YAY new cell phone.  Well, not new because it's used and it's a 7 year old model but still, it works.

So then Sunday we went to chuch and it was a new church and they had this tv in the lobby which was huge and on the tv screen they had this thing on with this guy talking about how his 5 year old was in school and the teacher was teaching about gay marriage.  I knew right then and there I was not going in that church.  They all went in and Chip gave me $15 to go do something.  There wasn't much to do.  I walked around the block 3 times and that took up a whole 10 minute.  I walk fast.  So, I went to In and Out Burger and took 30 minutes to eat 1 order of french fries.  It's difficult to take that long eating something like that because they are so good you want to eat them fast but I knew I had to take as long as I could.

So, after that was done I just decided I'll go to the chuch and sit in the lobby and wait and there were a lot of people out there because the church was probably to capacity.  Chip said there were thousands of people there.  It's a big church.  So I sat there for an hour and waited for them to come out.

Then we went to the house and their family came over and we had lunch and had a birthday party for Chip.

Today we came home and Chip was having a hard time staying awake while driving because it was kind of a gloomy day.  But, we're safe at home now.

Dell DJ Battery a no go

Well, I got an email from that website about their Dell DJ battery and the one they sell is definitely for Gen 1 DJ's and that will not work on a Gen 2 DJ.  They said that people have bought it in the past and found it did not work and had to return it and pay a restocking fee.  This sucks.

They told me to go to 2 websites pdaparts.com or pdasmart.com.  The first website didn't have anything for Dell.  They had lots of batteries that looked like mine but they were specifically for iPods.  The 2nd website has a battery but it doesn't specific generations.  It just says "DELL Digital Jukebox, DELL Digital Jukebox DJ, DELL Digital Jukebox Series".  I emailed them asking if it will work on a 2nd Gen so I have to wait for their email.

The thing that really  bites here is that the battery from this other site batteryship.com is that they were only charging $25 for a battery plus shipping which was like $7.50 or something and it would've been more economical to buy 2 because they offer a 10% discount for the purchase of 2 or more.  So because their battery won't work for me I have to go to pdasmart.com and that battery is a whopping $48.

It just occured to me to check via part number and came up with 1 thing on ebay.  Someone is selling the exact battery I need and the starting bid is .99 cents and there are no bids.  I'm tempted to bid $30.  The auction ends the day before I get my check.  The only thing is if I buy it on ebay I have no warranty and no guarantee that it will actually work and not die within a couple of months.

Dell DJ Video

I was looking at YouTube and MySpace for video tutorials on how to change your dead battery for your Dell DJ and there are zero videos.  So, I've decided that as soon as my battery comes hopefully the first week of October I'm going to make a video.  I will demonstrate how to open the bottom of the DJ by prying off the plastic piece then unscrewing the tiny screws and pulling that off then pulling out the old battery and putting the new battery then putting it all back together.

I thought someone would've made a video by now.  Oh well, I guess that's why I come in handy on the internet.

Edit: I don't know why it took me so long to make this but I finally made the video for it today April 24th 2009.  Here is the post for it.  Enjoy.

Fidgit

Sci Fi channel has come out with a new website for gamers.  They seem to cover every platform, genre and every thing related to gaming.

www.fidgit.com

I try to look at everything for the PSP.  I just want to read everything I can about new updates and the future of the PlayStation Portable such as new features like when they added Skype and Internet radio.  This website doesn't seem to have anything after July 2008 and right now it's near the end of September.  I don't really see this being a major source of news for me for the PSP right now but it is nice to have another source of news for the game system I love.

Hamburger Helper

We haven't had Hambuger Helper in a very long time.  Tonight we went to Albertson's and they had Hamburger Helper in the 10 for $10 display just when you walk in the front door.

I personally love hamburger helper.  My mom used to make that all the time when I was a kid.  My aunt Betty used to make her own version of it by making regular macaroni and cheese (not Kraft but elbow macaroni and velveta or something) then just adding hambuger meat to it.  OMG it was so good, I really miss that.

Dell DJ Battery

Well today I finally got the balls to open up my Dell DJ to take the battery out so I can measure it in MM.  The battery that I found to buy is 50mmx85mmx2mm.  Well, my battery is 50mmx95mmx2mm so it's actually longer than the one for sale which is fine.  This just means it will fit with some wiggle room hehe.  It couldn't be more perfect.

Eureka

Tonight was the season finale of Eureka but they kept saying mid season finale.  This show is only a summer show so I'm a bit confused why they keep saying mid season.  I much prefer it being a summer show because then it doesn't interfere with my other shows.  Scheduling I mean.

I like Francis Fisher and I was surprised when they put her on Eureka but I wasn't too happy with her character because she was so mean to everyone.  But near the end of the finale I finally got to see who she really is and why she has acted the way she has (the character hehe).

I was surprised that Nathan didn't get discovered working at a diner as the cook not knowing who he was hehe.  I didn't think they would really kill him off.  But nothing about him except for the fact that he did leave behind a part of him since Allison is pregnant with his baby.

And then the shocker of the night at the very end, Sheriff Carter is fired.  You can't have Eureka without Sheriff Jack Carter.  I mean I guess you could but he's kinda the lead character.  It all started with him moving to Eureka and the show centers around him and his daughter Zoe.  Well, I guess I have a whole year to wait to see what happens next hehe.

Lego Batman

Lego Batman finally came to Game Stop yesterday and was sold today.  I pre-ordered it on May 1st this year and it was supposed to be available on September 2nd but they pushed it back to September 23rd for some reason.  That's ok. it's cool.  I got it now.  Although it was kinda depressing that I got it on Chips birthday because I feel that I got a present on his birthday.  Not fair right?  He should be getting the present not me.

Oh well, if you read my previous post he will be getting another present soon.

Chips Birthday

YAY Today is Chips birthday.  He turns 29 (hehe).  I don't think he cares about his age but I'm just gonna leave it at 29.  Anybody who knows us knows the truth.  I gave him his present early and now I feel really bad that I did that but he wouldn't stop shaking the box and it was glass with liquid inside it.  I don't know if he broke one of them or if it came that way in shipping but one of them is broken.  When it's your birthday and someone buys you something and says DON'T SHAKE IT!  You don't shake it dammit.  Listen when you are told lol.  Sheesh.

You know those Galileo thermometers?  It's like this tube with liquid and inside the liquid are these balls with liquid and each of the balls are a different color and the bottoms of the balls have like these little aluminum tags which have a temperature on them.  When it is cold the balls go up, when it's hot the balls go down or vice versa I don't know, and when it's a nice temperature like in the 80's 2 balls are up and 2 balls are down at the bottom.  Well, since one of the balls got broken and it had pink liquid inside it, the main tube water has a little pink inside it now instead of clear water and so it doesn't give an accurate reading.  Instead all the balls are all the way up while the other one has 2 on top and 2 on bottom.  I decided to just keep the broken one in my room for decoration rather than function.

So I really feel bad that I gave it to him early and now he has no presents to open.  When I get some money I'm gonna buy him a lava lamp.  I love lava lamps and I think it would be really cool to look at in the living room near his TV.  This website has them for a reasonable price Cheap DJ Gear.  I don't know what color I'm going to get him though.  Since they are fairly inexpensive I think I'm going to buy 2 of them because I love lava lamps.  My parents had one when I was a kid and I just loved watching it.  I'm going to have to find out which color he prefers.  The color doesn't matter to me.  Although I wouldn't mind red.  I love black but a black lava lamp just doesn't appeal to me.

Heroes

Wow!  I'm just in shock.  It was a really good episode (well, 2 good episodes).  At the very end of the 2nd hour there was a HUGE bombshell.  Wow, just wow.  Nathan and Peter have another brother.

Burn After Reading

We went to see Burn After Reading today with George Clooney and Brad Pitt.  What a weird movie!  Ok there was nothing to burn, it was on a cd lol.  I wouldn't exactly recommend this movie.

With friends like her, who needs enemies?

Ok.  I'm probably going to get hell for this but I'm going to blog about it anyway.  I'm changing the names so nobody will know.

There is this woman who goes to church with my partner, let's call him Skip.  Skip gave her his mother's (let's call it a piano) because he has been looking for someone to give it to for 4 years.  This woman, I'll call her Satan's daughter so SD, met me and asked me who I am to Skip and I told her that I was his partner.  We've been together for 14 years.  I introduced her to our cat and she already met our dog who couldn't stop barking at her.  When a dog barks at a person they are telling you, this person is bad, leave them alone.  Dog's are smart.

I'm not going to go into any details about what has been going on for the last couple months but SD has been a real big problem for both of us.  She is trying to take Skip away from me and trying to convince him that our relationship is against god and blah blah blah.  She was doing everything in her power to get me out of the picture so she could move out of her crappy apartment and take my place but it didn't work and now she's done.  All Skip wanted was a friendship but for SD it was boyfriend/girlfriend or nothing and Skip chose the latter.

She won't be able to call us because I blocked her and that's that.  If she calls on her cell phone I'm gonna answer and tell her to stop calling because she is not welcome in our house.  As Jerry said on Big Brother to Dan, (me saying to SD) you will always be Judas in my house.

Countdown to Lego Batman

There are only 2 more days until Lego Batman is at Game Stop.  That's tuesday morning.  Hmm, since I'm blogging this at 9:30 at night, tomorrow is Monday and I will probably get the phone call at lunch time on Tuesday, that should mean there is only a day and half left.

I pre-ordered this in May so I've waited all summer for this so I guess you can say I'm pretty excited the day is finally coming.  I really love the Lego series of PSP games.  I have Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones so now I'm adding Lego Batman.  I really hope they don't stop after this, that they give us more in the Lego series.

I'm hoping for Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, Superman and or the Justice League.

The 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards

The Emmy's are on tonight and we're going to watch it tonight.  I normally don't watch the awards shows but I decided it would be ok to watch it.  I may have to play Star Wars Battlefront during the boring parts though lol.  I'm so glad HBO has 17 channels instead of one because I was able to watch True Blood at 6pm (Eastern Time) because it would normally be on here at 9pm on the west coast.  It's actually on at 6pm, 7:30 and 9pm.  But since the Emmy's are on at 8pm (red carpet from 6-8) I don't have to miss True Blood until it goes on On Demand.

Birthday Cake

Chip came home from church with a cake today.  This woman who goes to his church has a list of everyone's birthday so the Sunday before their birthday she brings in a cake or even up to 4 cakes and gives it to them just before they leave.  I think that is so nice.  Of course he wanted to have a piece while it was still fresh hehe.  It's very chocolaty.

Wet Dog

Flower got a bath today and it was about time.  I went to lay down next to her and she smelled really bad.  She was so pissed off at me for daring to put her in water and she tried getting away lol.  She was fine though in the kitchen sink and I got her all cleaned up and since she barely has any hair it wasn't hard to dry her.  Just a towel over her and she's done.

After her bath she was running around the house like a crazy dog.  She was mostly running away from me lol.  I put her on the bed and she ran over to where the bunched up comforter is and burrowed into it and peeked her head out so I could see that she wasn't pleased lol.  Now it's back to sleep for her.

Star Wars Battlefront II

Wow.  I never knew how fun this game would be.  I guess it's the Star Wars version of Socom.  I tried the demo of Socom Navy Seals but I couldn't get into it but if you add some rebel soldiers and a wookie then perhaps I'd like it better hehe.

At first Darth Vader kept killing me but I've learned to avoid him at all costs.  I hear him breathing in a cave but rarely see him anymore.  I can win the levels that are on a planet (well, 50/50) but when I'm flying in space I have less of a chance of winning for some reason.  It's harder to fly a spaceship and shoot because no matter what your spaceship is always flying.  You can't stop flying to focus your fire on the other ships weapons or shields or whatever.  You have to shoot then fly up or down or whatever, fly away for a bit then come back and shoot some more.

I played it for about 2 hours straight this afternoon and my eyes are so blurry from it because I start out with the PSP near my stomach then next thing I know it's near my face.  That's when I know I have to stop for a bit when it's near my face and my eyes can barely see it with my glasses on and I have to start using the bifocal part of my glasses to see then those get too blurry lol.  It's time to put it in stand by mode for awhile.

Dell DJ Battery Replacement

Chip bought me a Dell DJ for Christmas 2004 and during 2005 I was listening to it all the time everyday, on the way to the gym or sitting at my desk or even while doing the dishes.  I was always listening to it.  But over time the battery would die sooner than it was supposed to.  Sometimes it would even freeze up and I had to just wait for it to start playing again.  I couldn't turn it off or do anything.  I just had to wait for it.

The battery is supposed to last like 5 or 6 hours or something and over time the amount of time it actually played kept going down until eventually it only played for half hour.  Now when I unplug it it just dies immediately and gives me a screen saying the battery is low.

I've treated that Dell DJ like a baby by never dropping it or losing it.  I'm a good nerd, I respect my electronics enough that I don't get them broken or stolen.

I've called Dell that first year when the battery started dying and they wouldn't help me even with my warranty.  I was too late in renewing my warranty and so when I called for help they said sorry you don't have the right warranty for this.  I was like dude, I have a $318 paper weight now.  Thanks a lot.  They were like I know, I can understand how frustrating you are but we can't help you.  I was like well can I just buy a new battery and ship it to you to replace it and they said yeah for like $75 or something like that.  I've never had the money to do that.

Every once in awhile I do a search on the net for Dell DJ Batteries and I found a website that has them for $24.95 + shipping and it has the tools to do it yourself.  It says it takes a few min but a testimonial says 10 min.  I don't care, I just want a new battery and $25 is not a bad deal.  I will have to wait until I get some money because I'm tapped lol.

Dell Jukebox DJ Battery Replacement

Great Minds Think Alike

Chip and I have been together for 14 years.  We are psychicly linked to each other for some reason.  Mostly I will be thinking something and he will just blurt it out and there has only been 1 time when I said something that he was thinking.  It's usually him reading my mind.

Like for example a half hour ago I was going to change all the music on my playlist on MySpace and I knew I wanted Gavin DeGraw's Chariot album so I grabbed my Dell DJ Mp3 player to look up that album so I can put all the songs in my playlist and he asked what I was doing so I told him and he said Gavin DeGraw.  OMG HELLO!  How did he know I was going to put Gavin DeGraw on there?

I tell you it is so spooky that he says what I'm thinking all the time.  The one time I said what he was thinking was a couple of weeks ago when I was sick.  I handed him my debit card and said call Pizza Hut, I don't feel like cooking anything and he said OMG I was just thinking that.  LOL.  It's like that all the time here.

Subtle Butt

ROFLMAO OMG I cannot believe this....

Subtle Butt

It's like this panty liner that neutralizes the smell of your farts.  HAHAHAHA OMG too funny.

Cici's Pizza

Why doesn't California have a Cici's Pizza yet?  When I went to visit my aunts in Texas for Christmas 2006 they took me to a Cici's Pizza and I was in pizza heaven.  It's a pizza buffet with I don't know, 20 different pizzas to choose from at the bar but there are many possibilities like macaroni and cheese pizza.  If they don't have it out you can request it, they will make it and then bring you 2 slices before putting the rest out for everyone to take.  They also have a small salad bar and a dessert bar which is really good by the way.  They have like a coffee cake in pizza shape so you take a slice of the dessert.  And as usual a soda fountain with all you can drink.

If I had the money and business degree I'd buy the rights to put one in Bakersfield.

Smallville & Supernatural...

Smallville came on and I was shocked to see that Clark had lost his powers but near the end of the episode he finally got them back but the "martian" lost his by helping Clark get them back.  He works at The Daily Planet now and there was talk of a costume so hopefully he will get his costume soon.

Supernatural began and they showed Dean in hell then next thing he's in a coffin and digging his way out like a vampire would.  I was way off in my last blog about Sam casting a spell or whatever.  I thought maybe he had made a deal similar to the deal Dean made to get Sam back but he didn't.  It looks like he has friends in high places lol.  Really high.  Like heaven, that high.  God commanded an angel to pull him out of hell because Sam and Dean are needed to be alive.  So, why didn't dad get a reprieve?  We will see next week as per the advertisement about how people are coming back.

Heroes

September 22nd 2008 is the season premiere of Heroes on NBC.  From 8-9pm is going to be a countdown where the cast and crew talk about the show then from 9-11pm is the season premiere episode.  I read at TV.com that it is going to be 2 hours but from 8-10 and that really pisses me off that they said that because if I had to go somewhere for whatever reason I would've set my dvd recorder to record from 8-10 instead of 8-11 then I would've missed the last hour of the show.

Ok, maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion because if I do miss a show I'm just gonna go to hulu to rewatch it.  I'm just sayin.  Don't give people the wrong info ya know?  Especially die hard fans lol.

If it weren't for my friend Sue I would've never known.

Well Fed Dog

We have a toy Chihuahua named Flower and this little dogs stomach is about the size of a walnut.  Maybe smaller.  Well, she is always so hungry and she acts like we starve her to death lol.  When I open the fridge door she runs in the kitchen so fast because she thinks she's gonna get something.

I hate it when animals beg because they make you feel so bad for them.  I try to trick her by pretending I'm done eating then go lay down and watch tv but she's smart.  She knows that the food is still on my desk and she stands by my desk and looks at me waiting for me to go give her some of it.  I can just see what she's thinking....

"If you're not gonna eat it, give it to me".

Knight Rider

Knight Rider - Sneak Peak: A Knight in Shining Armor

February 17th 2008 NBC Aired the new Knight Rider movie which was the teaser of the new tv show coming this fall.  Well, it's fall and the new show airs next week on Wednesday 9/24/2008.  The link above is a sneak peak at the first episode and yes it is the full episode not just a commercial.

Since I have another show on tv, Pushing Daisies, I will have to watch Knight Rider at www.hulu.com each week.  Which is no problem I guess since the show is widescreen and my tv isn't but my computer monitor is so at least I'll be able to see the show in widescreen instead of 4:3.  So that's awesome.  Maybe I should just skip tv altogether and just watch Hulu lol.  Nah.

Smallville & Supernatural

Date: September 18th 2008

YAY the summer is finally over and now it's time for all my shows to start coming back.  Tonight is Smallville and Supernatural.  I think this will be Smallville's last season.  Clark Kent is getting a bit too old now to not become Superman yet.  I'm sure at the very end of this season he will wear the superman tights and cape and that will be the very end of Smallville.  It would be cool if they had a Superman spin off so they don't have to end the show, they can have another 8 years lol.  I doubt they would though.  I'm sure Tom Welling doesn't want to be type cast for the rest of his life.

Supernatural should be good considering when last we saw him, Dean was in hell being stretched like Kenny McCormick was in South Park.  I don't know if he was being stretched but he was just hanging around in hell lol.  Sam has to get him out but how?  I figure he either has to cast a spell to summon Dean so that he can just keep dean out of hell as much as he can then when he disappears he has to summon him again.  I don't know.  Maybe he will have to kill that little girl and then dean comes back to earth.  I really don't know how it works.  Oh wait when Daddy was taken to hell when Dean was in a coma, he was taken by that one demon but eventually Dean or Sam killed him with that gun that kills demons and dad wasn't set free.

I guess I will just have to wait and see.  They will probably keep him in hell for a few episodes or maybe even half the season or who knows maybe the entire season until the season finale or something.  I love speculating what might happen hehe.

My Birth Father

On my 15th birthday my mother decided that it was time for me to know that my step dad wasn't really my real father.  I basically knew but I let her tell me whatever she was going to tell me.

She gave me this elaborate story about how he left her when I was a month old to go to Germany in the Air Force and he never returned and she made him out to be this bad guy.

What she didn't tell me was that he was married to another woman and had an affair with my mother and she got pregnant but he broke off the relationship with her because he loved his wife and she never told him that she was pregnant so he didn't even know.  However she stayed in contact with his mother, my grand mother, for years afterwards.

My mom has shown me pictures of her when I was a little kid and just told me that she was a friend of hers.  When she told me the truth she told me that this woman was my grand mother.  When I had my tonsils out around I think age 3 or 4, I forgot when, she bought me a Mrs. Beasley doll from the show Family Affair and my sister was so jealous because she wanted it.  I didn't know who gave it to me, I just knew it was given to me.

I would definitely love to find my birth father and have some kind of relationship with him because I have this huge hole in my heart that I would love to fill.  His name is Ron or Ronald Shirtliff.  I am not quite sure about the spelling of the last name but that is what my Aunt Betty has told me.  I have found that name a few times and contacted all of them and of course none of them agreed that they knew my mother so without a social security number I can't get any information to find him.

I'm hoping that his name will be on search engines and if he or his family members decide to do a search for him they will find my blogs and posts on message boards and contact me.  Please, if you can help me reply with a comment in this blog or go to www.xanapus.com and click the email form and email me.  I don't have any motives, I don't care about the affair, none of that matters.  All that matters is that I find my birth father.

Eureka Sponsors

I love the show Eureka and I love Degree deoderant and I really don't mind seeing a show with advertising inside it but I think the way they advertise Degree in this show is too much.  Product placement is fine but it's like they are trying too hard.  The new lady on the show from Titanic, Francis something or other, she just spews out all these slogans that you hear on the commercials.  I don't want to hear that.  Those lines should be reserved for the actual commercials, not tv shows.

The episode when Jack is in the shower and he keeps going back to the shower and living the same day over and over and he takes the Degree out of the medicine cabinet and places it on the sink was ok, still pushing it because it would be one thing if he grabbed it and used it then put it back but there really is no reason for them to put focus on him putting it on the sink over and over again.  I mean how far could it have been from where it originally was?  12 inches?

Oh and they have a special lab with the Degree label on everyone's jackets and degree sticks sitting on the counter in the lab.  Come on, that's a bit much.

250 Posts

I finally finished archiving all my old blogs from July 2007 until now.  It took me many hours a day but I finally did it.  Although the 250 includes all the posts I made since I got this new blog system with WordPress.  It doesn't include this post either lol.

I sent out emails to friends telling them about this and so far 1 person has told me that she saw it and commented that I blog a lot.  That was when I had 150 posts too so I've added a lot more since then hehe.  Yeah, I do have a lot of blogs because I have a lot to say.  That is, when it's just me and my keyboard.  When I am in a room with other people I'm usually speechless.  People say I'm too quiet but just give me a keyboard and I got a lot more to say.

HomeTown Buffet

On Sunday when Chip got out of church we went to HomeTown Buffet (I call it HomoTown Buffet lol) and had "dinner" (they don't have lunch on sundays, only breakfast and dinner) and when we were standing in line I noticed they have a club.  If you go to www.buffet.com/eclub you can sign up and get coupons.  You get a coupon for a free meal (with the purchase of a meal) just for signing up.

Since it's almost Chips birthday he got 2 coupons.  1 for signing up and 1 for his birthday so we got 3 coupons in total because I signed up too.  I love HomeTown Buffet because their food is so good.  All 3 of our coupons expire on 10/1/08 so we have 2 weeks.  His birthday coupon obviously we're gonna use on his birthday.

MySpace Friends

I am so happy that I have some pretty good people on there.  Of course I have my friends and family.  But... I also have some entertainers.

First I got Steve Hofstetter.  Actually, HE is the one who sent the invite to me.  I thought that was so awesome that he chose me out of so many people in Bakersfield.  And it was because I am in Bakersfield that he chose me because he is from Bakersfield.

Sid and Marty Krofft which are the creaters of Krofft Super Stars from the 1970's.  I loved that show especially HR Puff N Stuff.  What does that mean?  Puff N Stuff?  Is that a pot reference?  Witchiepoo was my favorite lol.

There have been some rock bands who have sent me invites and I accepted but I don't see them any more.  I tried to get Green Day but they never accepted.

Sean P Hayes from Will and Grace.  OMFG when he accepted I was so excited.  If you aren't sure who that it, that's Just Jack!  I have a character on EverQuest named Justjack who is a level 25 enchanter lol.  I also have a character named Annistasia but no last name because you have to be level 20 for that and she is level 16.  I wanted her name to be Annistasia Beaverhousen but I was sure that Sony wouldn't approve that last name so I never tried to get to level 20.

Kathy Griffin.  OH MY GOD!  She is a gay mans wet dream to have as a friend.  It is so awesome that she accepted.

Dan from Big Brother 10.  I waited to start sending invites to the BB10 house guests because I wasn't sure if their families would be accepting friends or not so I waited.

Although, Brian, Steven and Angie have been at home all this time so I could've gotten them way back when.  I waited and did the invites and still waiting for the rest.  I'm still waiting for Memphis, Keesha, Steven, Angie and Brian.  I didn't see a MySpace page for Renny.  I would've loved to have had her on my MySpace friends list.

Confusion of Time Zones

Word Press has a different idea of time zones than I normally see.  On the Windows clock in the time zones tab it says "(GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)" but in Word Press my time zone is ULC -7.  I don't know why but I thought we were in +8 which is china lol.  It took me a bit to figure that out and I had to change all the dates and times of my previous posts to reflect the actual time that I posted them.  When I went to make a new post it said today was September 17th and I know it's the 16th so I was a bit confused lol.  Also it was off by many hours too heh.  Oh well, it's all fixed.  Now my task is to finish getting as many of my old blogs archived here.

Kathy Griffin

Hehe one more post before I go to bed.  Yes I do blog a lot in 1 day don't I?

We just watched 2 back to back stand up shows of Kathy Griffins on Bravo channel.  She is so freakin funny.  I just love her.  I've seen those 2 shows at least 5 times each and every time I see it I laugh my butt off.  How can you not laugh?  I love her because she has the balls to say what everyone is thinking but is too afraid to say it.  And it's all in fun.

If you are so stuck up that you can't laugh when someone makes fun of you then maybe you need to be made fun of lol.  I know if I was an actor I'd be upset if she wasn't making fun of me in her act because then I'd know I'm not famous yet.  I'd probably send her flowers and invite her to dinner begging to be made fun of lol.

New Season of Shows

Finally summer is nearly over and my shows can come back.  This season I have shows 6 days a week again.  Mostly I have 1 show a night but some nights there are 2 shows.

Sunday:  I only have 1 show and that's True Blood on HBO.  If for some reason I miss it I don't have to worry because of HBO On Demand.

Monday:  Heroes and Chuck are coming back for season 2.  I also watch Medium on CBS but that show starts in January 2009.

Tuesday:  As of right now I have nothing on for Tuesdays but Reaper is supposed to be coming back in January 2009.

Wednesday:  I have 2 shows on at the same time on different networks.  Knight Rider which will be on NBC and Pushing Daisies which is on ABC.  I watched the first season of Pushing Daisies so I'm gonna have to choose that over Knight Rider but thank goodness there is such a thing as On Demand because I will be able to watch Knight Rider on the NBC website whenever I want to.

Thursday:  Smallville & Supernatural.  Those 2 shows I've watched since they began so naturally I'm going to watch these.  I read this will be the last season for Smallville.  It was supposed to be Clark Kent's childhood (or teenage years) and he's way past 21 so it looks like it's nearly time for Superman to emerge on the scene which will mean the end of Smallville.

Friday:  Ghost Whisperer.

Ok, so I was wrong when I said 6 days of shows, well, half wrong because Reaper is coming back in January so only half of the season will be 5 days a week.  That is unless there's another strike preventing me from watching shows then they get canceled lol.  I don't think it will happen again for another 10 or 20 years since the last strike was 20 years ago.

HomeTown Buffet

We love going to HomeTown Buffet and since it's almost Chips birthday (September 23rd) I want to take him there for dinner.  I just signed up for their e-club so we both can get coupons for free meals lol.  When it's your birthday they send you a coupon for a free meal so we're going to take advantage of that.  Since I can't afford to buy him a gift I'm giving him the gift of free food lol.  I'm not cheap, I just don't have the money.  Besides I gave him an early birthday present already.  I wanted to save it for his birthday but I was too excited to give it to him lol.

Holiday Creamers

I just love the holidays, especially the coffee creamers meant to go with the holidays.  I just came back from Albertson's with Pumpkin Pie Spice coffee creamer's from International Delight.  My favourite creamer is Egg Nog so I can't wait for Thanksgiving, that's when they start selling that flavor as well as actual Egg Nog or Silk Nog which I have to buy because I'm lactose intolerant.

The Family That Preys

We went to the movies today and saw The Family That Preys.  They said it was a comedy but I didn't find it to be funny.  I thought of it more as a drama with some humor inside it.  To me a comedy is a movie that you are laughing while watching, I wasn't laughing at all during this movie.  It was a good  movie though.  I wouldn't say it was so good that I'd see it again but it was good.

Before we went to see it we were on a mission to get new brakes for my bike.  First we went to Sports Authority and they didn't have it.  They had 1 pair of brakes but it wasn't the right ones.  I also wanted a new pump with a gauge but they only had 2 kinds but they were huge, the kind you keep at home.  I wanted one small enough that it straps to my bike frame but they don't have that there.  So after the movie we came home, Chip wrote an email then we went to Snider's Cyclry and they had the exact brakes I needed and they were only $5 (they came in a package of 2 for $2.50 so 2 packages was $5) so the price was right.

Sunset Tan

Wow, these people are so rich working at a tanning salon that they can afford a $6000 a month apartment.  OMG!  If you make that much money that you can afford $6000 a month for that, you can afford to buy a house.  Come on people.  I didn't even know there were places out there that was that expensive.  Of course those apartments have maid service lol.  Still, that's a lot of money.

Although, they didn't take the apartment because the guy said it's too much for an apartment and that it's a mortgage payment so I don't feel too bad now... I think.

Star Wars: Battlefront II

Chip bought me this game today, Star Wars: Battlefront II, and I don't know very much about how it works but I tried it earlier and kept dying hehe.  I am not very good at "shoot em up" games so it's going to take me some time to figure it out.  I tried reading the book that came in the case but I was in such a hurry to play it so I didn't read very much of it.  Darth Vader kept killing me lol.  I did get to play as Yoda and I had so much fun killing people as Yoda.  I can't wait for the day that I can play as Darth Vader and kill EVERYONE!  LOL.  What I really would love to do is play with someone else.

New Blog

I've decided to change the way my blog looks.  I wanted it to be cleaner and to be able to add paragraphs and images and with the way my blog was I just wasn't able to do that.  This will make my blog look a lot better and it archives itself so I don't have to anymore.  Although I will keep my past archives on the site.

I sure do hope this blog works out.  The last blog program I used just didn't work out.  I actually preferred my blog to be on the main page of my website but I'd gladly give up that ability to be able to not have to edit after each post to add paragraphs and images.  Also this has a spell checker hehe.

True Blood

Tonight was the 2nd episode of a new show on HBO called True Blood which is about Vampires. True Blood is actually the name of a synthetic blood that the Japanese made to help Vampires so they don't have to drink peoples blood anymore. They just buy a 4 back of True Blood and it gives them the nutrition they need but without murdering people. This particular story is about a girl who is in her early 20's who can read everyone's mind and she meets her first vampire who walks into the bar/restaurant that she works at. She immediately falls for him because she can't read his mind.

I like this show because it's a vampire show and anyone who knows me knows that I love anything that is supernatural. I would rather watch a show about vampires, witches, super heroes, guys who go around the country killing demons than watching something like 90210 or Gossip Girl.

It goes all the way back to when I was a kid. I was obsessed with Samantha on Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie. I was in heaven in the 90's when Buffy started, then Charmed came and then Angel spun off of Buffy and there was Roswell and then in 2000 Smallville came and eventually Supernatural.

The last 12 years of television has been great for me and the hits keep coming. There was a show on CBS called Moonlight about vampires but it didn't last more than a season which really pissed me off but now that True Blood is on HBO I'm happy again. And thank goodness I have HBO now lol.

Got Milk Delivery?

I was watching Dark Shadows on Sci-Fi channel and it's the episode where the guy needs a raise because they only have $200 to their name and they need to pay their bills or they don't know what they will do.  Their son mentions something about how if you tell the milk man you need something it will happen for you.  So the father puts a note in the milk man box asking for a watch for his son and the next morning the son comes down with a new watch.

Well, it occured to me that I kmow they had milk men (deliveries) in the past like the 50's and 60's etc and I don't really know anybody who gets that so it never was a thought.  I went to the yahoo search engine and looked it up for Bakersfield and voila they have a few places and they don't sell just milk, oh no they sell creamer, cheese, cottage cheese, string cheese, yoplait, and the list goes on.  And it's cheap too.

Although the 2 gallons of milk at Albertson's is cheaper and I will probably get that there but they have other stuff that I definately want to buy like the yogurt and eggs etc.  I really am thinking about starting this service which will mean getting a cooler to sit on our porch but it might get stolen so perhaps I'd make arrangements for them to arrive at our door early and ring the bell.

You can pay them cash, check, money order or pay online through PayPal lol.  I think that's awesome.  I'm definately thinking about it.  They have so many good items with good prices.  And when they leave the stuff in the cooler they pour ice in it to keep it cold until you wake up.

XP Antivirus 2008 AGAIN!

Did you read my blog about the XP Antivirus 2008 Virus?  I'm bumping this back up because I just got a virus screen from Norton Antivirus saying it got rid of a virus, shoot I already closed it so I can't say what it was named.  I looked at all the details and it has to do with the XP Antivirus 2008 again because apparently even though I got rid of all those files and registry entries it found it's way back into my computer.  Thank goodness I have Norton to protect my computer because if I didn't I'd be screwed again.  I was at the neighbors house all this time so I had no clue what was happening to my computer.

George from Seinfeld

Well it happened again. Today we went to Albertson's and one of the ladies who runs one of the cash registers said that I looked like "that guy from Seinfeld". Nobody ever seems to remember his name. It's Jason Alexander people and that's a total insult if you were wondering. Yes I know I'm fat, yes I know I'm bald. You don't have to rub salt into my wounds.

New Fall Season

The new fall season begins next week and it's the perfect timing because Tuesday night is the last night for Big Brother. Monday will be the last night for Big Brother on Showtime after dark so I can start watching Eureka on Tuesdays at the regular time and Ghost Hunters on Wednesday at the regular time. Those 2 shows repeat so in case there is another show on at the same time I can watch the repeat. Here are the shows I will be watching:

Mondays: Heroes and Chuck both on NBC
Wednesdays: Knight Rider at 8pm on NBC, Pushing Daisies at 8pm on ABC.
Thursdays: Smallville and Supernatural both on CW
Fridays: Ghost Whisperer

I'm very disappointed that Reaper isn't on the list because that was a very good show.  Wednesday nights are going to be difficult because I watched Pushing Daisies last season so I'm going to watch that on ABC.  I wanted to see Knight Rider but it's on at the same time as Pushing Daisies so I'm gonna have to watch Knight Rider on the NBC website or I'll just have to download that one and put it on DVD's.  Another show that I like to watch is Medium but that doesn't start until January.

Edit: I just read at www.tv.com that Reaper will air mid season which looks like January like Medium.  So this means in January things will change because there will be 2 shows being added and those 2 shows might clash with another show I have which means I will probably end up having to either watch those shows the next day on their websites or download them.

PSP Keyboard

Wow I just read at www.pspfanboy.com (click link for the story) that there will be an official keyboard for the PSP coming next year. It's a little tiny keyboard that you have to use your thumbs to type with but that's fine by me. X-Box 360 has a joypad that has a similar keyboard on it and if people can type with that then so can I. It's very similar to the keyboards that are on cell phones with full keyboards. My PSP box is going to be full lol.  In order to use this I will have to buy something that holds the PSP up so you can see what you are typing.

Tire Repair

I had a hole in my back tire and I repaired it a few days ago and the patch has held pretty much ever since but today I rode the bike to the store and it was fine then I rode it to the store again and when I came out my back tire was flat again. Of course I didn't have my pump with me so I had to walk home. When I got home I took the tire apart and put it in water and the bubbles were coming out of the side of the patch which means I didn't put the patch on right. So I took the patch off, sanded the glue down as much as I could then repatched it and held the new patch on really tight and I've let it sit on the table in the back yard without pumping it up to see if it will stick better. I'm gonna go put it back together soon so I can see if it worked or not.

Feeling Better

I'm feeling a lot better today than I have been over the last couple days. Although I am still sick, just feeling better. I've kept myself secluded from Chip by locking myself in my bedroom (there is no lock on the door, just keeping door closed, you know what I mean) so he wouldn't get sick and now he is sick. So, I rode my bike over to Albertson's and got him his own bottle of Robitussin and Nyquil and 2 bags of Halls and a box of tissues.

Boy when I got to Albertson's I could feel the tightness in my legs in the front. Wow, that was tight. I need to start riding my bike to the store more often to at least get some exercise but if anything else I need to ride my bike just to get my legs used to riding a bike so when I start going for bike rides to the bike path my legs wont cramp up on me and I won't get too tired too easily. When I was a teenager I rode my bike all the time. Sometimes for a few hours a day going here and going there. I rode my bike everywhere since I didn't have a car and since I don't even know how to drive. So If I was young again I could probably ride my bike on that bike path all the way through then back again to come home. I'd probably be the skinniest guy on that bike path lol. Here's to hoping that some day I will be the skinniest guy on the bike path, that is if I ever get to go on it.

Sick (Part 2)

I took my temperature and I'm 100.3. I feel really achy, dizzy, congested (nasal and chest), sore throat and I just have that feeling of dread. You know that feeling that you think you are going to die lol. I also have loss of appetite. You know what this means don't you? VACATION!!! Hehe. No, I wish, I still have to do the dishes and scoop the litter box. I still have chores. I've locked myself in my bedroom so Chip doesn't get it. If he gets sick I'm going to have to take care of him in addition to my chores and I'm gonna get sick again. It's a bad chain that we can never break. That's why my door is closed and I'm only going out to use the bathroom.

Ghost Hunters

Wow, tonight's Ghost Hunter's episode was really good. They caught 2 EVP's that were really good. Well 3 actually but one of them wasn't speaking English, you couldn't understand what he was saying. The woman that owned the building said it sounds like Polish to her. The other voices which was in the attic sounded like he was saying "We want" but they think it was saying "What do you want?" which makes a lot more sense. I think he was saying what do you really fast so it sounded like we. Then Tango was up in the attic and he was basically cussing the ghost out and you could hear when Tango took a breath a voice that said "Leave me alone". Awesome.

I've always believed in ghosts no matter what people say back to me. When I was a kid I used to see my grandmother Mimi or so I thought it might be her. I don't know for sure what it was. And ever since we've been in Bakersfield I've been feeling what seems to be a cat jumping up on either the couch and my bed. I'm not afraid of a cat ghost because I know that cats are innocent creatures and they don't have any evil inside them. Dogs are different though. Take Cujo for example hehe.

Bike Repairs

I rode my bike to the store the other day and I noticed that my back tire has been going flat and it wont stay inflated and so today I decided to go through my boxes in the closet to find the inner tubes that I got when I got the bike originally. When I bought the bike I bought those tire tubes that have the green goo inside of them which is supposed to fix your puncture if you run over a tack or a nail but I didn't know that it doesn't protect the sides, just the outer part. So, I took the back tire off and pumped the tube up by itself and held it under water which is what you do to find the leak. Found it, fixed it. All new again hehe.

Then I realized that the seat was really too high up so I lowered it and boy does that make a hell of a difference. So, I feel accomplished today hehe. I rode it over to our neighbors and back and I noticed it wasn't stopping fast enough so I got off the bike and looked and my front and back brakes are shot lol. Which means I better not even think about getting on it until I go to Snyder's Cyclery to buy some brakes and while I'm there I want to see their lights and a helmet. Not too many people wear helmets so I'd probably look dorky but I'd rather look dorky than dead.

When I was 16 my parents bought me a bike and they bought me this light set that had front and back lights that ran on a generator (the back wheel and my peddling was the generator) so I'd like to see if they have something similar to that, those are a bit more difficult to steal because it's a lot of work to get it on so it must be a bitch to get off. I do recall how horrible the lighting was for the headlight. Every time you start to slow down the light started to fade away lol. I'd like to see if they've made improvements on that system.

No More Plastic Grocery Bags!!!

I've been hearing this thing on the news about how the government is going to make retailers charge customers .25 cents per plastic grocery bag.  That's why I bought all those reusable cloth bags from Albertson's when they first started selling them for $1 per bag.  Whenever you go to the store with those bags they give you a .05 cent refund per bag so if you bring 3 bags you get .15 cents off on your bill.  It's sort of an incentive to use those cloth bags and eventually the bags pay for themselves.  Sometimes they have a sale like if you buy 4 bottles of the 1 liter bottles of Lipton tea you get a cloth bag for free.

I tell you that so I can tell you this.  We bring our cloth bags to the store so we have totally run out of plastic grocery bags which is what I normally use to scoop cat litter into then I put those bags into the 5 lb. buckets that the litter come in (empty buckets of course).  But since I have no more bags I have to just scoop the litter directly into the bucket then to keep the smell down to a minimum I put the lid on it.

Well, you know what happens when there are wet items left inside a closed container don't you?  Condensation happens.  The lid of the bucket has sweat all over it.  Cat urine and feces sweat.  What happens when you open the lid?  The juices fall due to gravity.  Normally when that happens the juices fall to the ground but if your foot is right next to it and you don't have shoes on because you are about ready to go to bed and this is the last thing you do before you go to bed, it falls on your foot.

Well, that happened to me tonight.  Cat urine and feces juice all over my foot.  I couldn't do anything about it because I figured I might as well just scoop the litter and get it done fast so I can run to the shower.  I didn't want to shower then scoop cause then I'd have to wash my hands all over again so I just did my duty then ran to the bathroom.

Thank you Al Gore for bitching and complaining about global warming.  See what you did to me?

Grossed out,

Mike
