Remember those old Gilligan Island episodes where Gilligan would be peddling on the bamboo bicycle so they could listen to the radio? Well now this is reality.
Charge up your gadgets with pedal power while you bike

This is just the coolest idea. Imagine riding your bicycle and you are charging up all of your gear, your iphone, ipod, psp, handlebar mounted gps system or say if you have one of those trailers I was talking about you could be charging up the battery to give the solar panels a bit of help because those solar panels can take forever to charge up a battery. I have a little handheld solar charger that looks like the size of the phone in that picture and it takes a whopping 8 hours to charge.
This of course won't be available until March 2010 but I have all the time in the world.
You could be riding your bike all day long (long road trip) and while you are peddling you are charging up your main battery so when you get to your camp site you will have power for the rest of the evening and into the night so I can use my bipap machine and not die lol. You can also watch some tv on your laptop (Hulu or if you have a tv tuner and it works without needing cable). You can also have the light on and not feel like it's too dark. That is a nifty idea. Me likey.
By the way, the wheels are still turning on that trailer idea, I've got some new ideas I'm going to post tomorrow. I really want to make this one if/when I ever get the money. In order for me to be able to do it at all I need some money which means I need some people clicking ads or those green double underlined words in my site. You don't have to commit to anything, just click and then close the website it takes you to. I get paid for the clicks not for whatever you buy. The more clicks I get the faster I will get a check and then I can start buying the supplies for my bike trailer. My sister could use it stat since she's going to be homeless and refuses to live with me because she'd rather be homeless on the sand than live in Bakersfield lol.
