2009 Emmy's

The 2009 Emmy's are on tonight at 8pm E/P.  I don't normally watch awards shows.  The only reason I watched the MTV VMA's last week was because I saw the talk on Facebook about Kanye West.  I don't think something like that will happen again though so I think it's safe for me not to have to watch it lol.

I already found out that Kathy Griffin went to the Schmemmies and lost the award to Intervention.

So that's all the emmy's I need to know about lol.  I might watch.  I have the E! red carpet on right now.  Oh alright I'll watch it.

Hopefully they won't let Kanye in lol.

Edit: 2 hours into the red carpet and I've already heard 3 or 4 references to Kanye West.  It's even a verb now to "pull a kanye" lol awesome.

Show was great, I don't normally care to watch these but I'm glad I did because my favorite gay guy Neil Patrick Harris was the host with the most.  He did such a good job and the people who won the awards even told him he did a good job.  He's a great singer too by the way.

OMG there were a lot of Kanye jokes.  I started to feel bad for him but then that feeling went away after awhile.

Halloween Theme

I've been working on changing my blog theme to a Halloween theme by changing this and adding that.  Over the last couple of days I've been putting it in as a test so I can see how it looks then putting the regular theme back on.  I think I have it all ready to go.  I'm going to change it on October 1st.

One of the features will be like a string of holiday lights that are in a motion going to the right and every time you reload the page or go to another page or post the holiday lights change.  I have 8 of them for Halloween.

I'm also working on Thanksgiving and Christmas theme so they are all ready to go when it's time.  I just wish I had a theme scheduler that I can use lol.

Here is a thumbnail of what the Halloween theme will look like.  I really hope that people like it.  The banner has pumpkins that I have carved over the years.

On October 1st I'm also going to change my new blog name from Mikes Blog to whatever wins in the poll.  Or maybe if the result is to keep it the same then it will be the same.  It looks like Xanapus' Lair is ahead in the polls which would actually work with the Halloween theme lol.  I'm also going to change the title from "Secret Diary of a Gay Nerd" to "Secret Diary of a Gay Zombie" for Halloween hehe.  Thanksgiving I will be a gay turkey and Christmas I will be a gay elf lol.  I just thought I would over share lol.

Pez Museum Lawsuit

The company who makes the Pez dispenser is suing this museum in Burlingame for copyright infringement.  He built this giant pez dispenser with the snowman pez as his model and since he put the Pez logo on the side of it he violated the copyright of the Pez product.

He also scratched off the smiley face of a smiley face Pez and put words on it which they say violates their copyright too.  I hope I'm using the correct terminology.  Anyway, he also changed a truck so it says Obama 08 for Pezident.

This is pure douchery on the Pez company's part because they are suing him for 14 years of profits from his museum.  So if they win he has to pay them every dime that he has made from sales of pez dispensers, candy and the fee to look at his personal collection of 500 pez dispensers.  I think it's weird that he charges people to look at his collection but whatever.  It's a Pez Museum so that's why.

This guy says that he thinks that they are suing him because they want the rights to open a museum.  So freakin what!  Open your museum Pez company.  Go for it, you don't have to sue this guy so you can have your own museum just open up another one in the city/state that you make them in.  Hell, put a museum in your plant and open it up to the public.

Personally I would just tell the guy to add in his museum title that it's the "Unofficial" pez museum.  If it says unofficial then they can't do anything to him about shutting down his museum.  Then again I don't know the law so I can't so what they can and cannot do.

By the way, the snowman pez that this guy built was put in the Guinness book of records for the biggest pez dispenser so they are probably going to take that title away from him and build their own just to show this guy up.

Keep the change

I know I'm probably going to piss some people off with this but I have to say it.

I was watching tv and turned to CNN and there was Michelle Obama talking about healthcare.  Why are these democrats so hell bent on changing our healthcare system?  I mean come on.  Don't they know what they are doing to us?  It sucks!

I've been watching these people from England and Canada talking about how shitty their heath care is.  People are dying from cancer over there because they can't get the same healthcare that we have over here.  In fact some of them come to America just to go to our doctors and they end up living longer than they would have had they suffered with their own healthcare system.

This one woman was on, I forgot what her deal was but she had some disease and the doctors told her that she hasn't suffered enough, that there were people a lot older than she was and they were still suffering so she needs to suffer the same as everyone else.  Her kid has the same disease and he could wait years for help and the doctors would probably tell him to suffer too.

The woman said that she was going to America to fix his issue but if this new Obamacare comes into place then her son will never get helped.

Just imagine if all the med students change their mind about being a doctor knowing that by the time they graduate they won't have a job to go to because of this new Obamacare.  There won't be any doctors to help you because with this new healthcare doctors are going to get paid less.  This one guy on the news said yesterday that he charges $60 for a patient to walk in the front door, if it goes down to $40 he's gonna quit.  So he's going to quit over $20 what does that tell you?

Ok I'm getting off of my soap box now.  By the way, I am not a republican.  I am not a democrat.  I consider myself an independent.  I really don't follow any particular side because sometimes I like the republican and sometimes I like the democrat.  I'm not sure which wing I am, probably left wing.  I'm no conservative that's for sure lol.  Hello!  I'm gay...  lol.

Jailed for wearing Pants

Sudan: Woman Journalist Jailed For Wearing Trousers - Source News Junkie Post

Take a gander at this.  This Sudanese woman journalist Lubna Ahmed al-Hussein was fined for wearing a pair of trousers.  She refused to pay the 500 Sudanese pounds ($200) fine and so they put her in jail.

Apparently over there it's against the law for a woman to wear trousers.

I've never been to Sudan but according to what people always tell me the middle east is a hot place so I think wearing a pair of pants is probably not a good idea anyway.  I think I'd rather wear a dress then sit near a fan so the air goes up into it so it can cool me down.

If this woman was a journalist and she is from there then she knows the laws.  I'm not saying the laws aren't f'd up because they are but it is their laws.  She knew the law, she knew the consequence.

Just imagine if she wore a pair of shorts, omg she'd get the death penalty for sure.

I just don't understand their laws.  I mean, you get fined (as a woman) for wearing pants and go to jail for PANTS?  That is so f'd up.  Poor woman.  She probably sees Hilary Clinton going over there wearing her pant suits and thinks "hey if she can do it so can I" then she goes to jail for it.  Nice going Hilary, I hope you are happy now that you put a woman in jail.

Smallville Season 9

I'm very excited and anxious to see the new season of Smallville coming in a couple of weeks.  I was hoping that it would've began with Supernatural but they aren't even on the same day anymore.

Wow it looks like a very dark season according to this teaser trailer.  I'm glad to see Clark embracing his shield on his chest and sort of having a cape but it's all black instead of blue and red.  Come on Clark, where's the tights with the underwear on the outside and the boots and cape?  I want to know when the glasses are coming too because how are people supposed to be able to be fooled by the cape when he's not putting his trademark "glasses" disguise on.  I mean, is his disguise going to be that curl over his forehead?  Is he even gonna make that little curl?

This is a very long show, I mean Season 9?  That's pretty freakin' good.  I'm a little confused though.  It's supposed to be that when he gets his job with the Daily Planet that he already has a costume before he meets Lois.  Go ahead and watch the first Superman movie if you don't believe me.

I keep saying perhaps at the end of "this" season he will embrace his destiny and on the last episode he'll be wearing tights.  But no, now they are on Season 9 which don't get me wrong I'm glad they mixed it up but the show is going a bit off track.  Lex Luthor dies?  Clark never wears glasses?  Lana having powers?  Mom is a state senator living in D.C.?  Jimmy Olsen DIES!?!?  What?

I'm pretty sure that Lex is back though because they showed a naked body at the very end in the back yard from that thing that had all the light in it.  So I'm pretty sure that is Lex come back to life so they are at least saving him.  Maybe he will be eviler than ever, is that even a word?  Maybe, just maybe he will come back with no memory so he won't remember that he knows that Clark is really "the traveler" but then he will meet the Clark with the black cape and shield and think that this Clark is different than the real Clark in blue and red lol.  It's confusing!

Despite all the strange changes I still love the show, I'm still obsessed and I'm holding my breath until September 25th 2009.

Oh did you notice in this teaser Callum Blue?  He's going to play Zod and is already showing up in his IMDB profile as being in 9 episodes for 2009.  AWESOME!
