The Secret Life Of A Call Girl

I watched The Secret Life of a Call Girl tonight on Showtime. It was pretty good. I was very surprised to see Billie Piper in such a risky role but she played it very well. I'm glad she is still working after Doctor Who too. I really wish that she was still on Doctor Who but that's ok. I'm also very glad that we are getting that show here in America. I love british tv shows. I've always loved the comedy shows on PBS and Ab Fab and Doctor Who and it's many spin-offs. And I understand why this show is on Showtime instead of CBS or NBC hehe.

Diet

Today Chip went to the grocery store and bought a few things and one of those things was a bag of 8 pieces of fried chicken. OMG it smelled so good when I first smelled it. I resisted and went back into my bedroom. Although, around 9pm I started to get a little hungry and so I went into the kitchen and opened the fridge and saw the chicken bag so I took out 1 piece and heated it up in the toaster oven. OMG it was so good. Hey I've been so good the last couple months. Sometimes you are allowed to sneak something good even if it's bad hehe. And it was oh so bad. But 1 bad thing wont ruin my entire diet so who cares. Tomorrow it will be diet as usual.

Weight Loss

When I quit smoking in 1996 I gained weight. A lot of weight. About 50lbs. And over the years it has grown. I've gone on diets and I've never really lost that much weight and when I did lose it I ended up gaining it back. One time I lost 40lbs and didn't even realize it until I weighed myself and then I started gaining it back. Well, I've gotten so heavy that I went to 243lbs. I was originally 150lbs when I first quit smoking. I was very comfortable at 150lbs and I was happy but 243 is just too much so I went back on a diet. I've so far lost 20lbs and hope to continue this quest of losing weight. I'm using 2 different programs, SparkPeople.com and Slim Fast. I like the slim fast optima because it curbs my appetite for 4 hours. I dont get up early, I get up at noon I don't know why. But I do and so I wake up and have a chocolate shake then 4 hours later I have vanilla shake then at 6pm I eat dinner that is usually a recipe from Spark People. Then at 8pm I will have a strawberry shake because I'm usually hungry again by that time so the shake controls my appetite until it's bed time. Unfortunately I can't go to sleep until 2am. The last shake would normally wear off by midnight but I try my best to not eat. If I have to I'll eat a Slim Fast candy bar hehe. Those have the optima too. Well, I'm hoping to be 200lbs by the end of summer at least and then 150lbs by my next birthday. If you want to see my progress look at the scale on my spark page (look at the menu on the left).

Healed

On Friday June 6th I went to the E.R. because I cut my hand with the blender. Well I'm happy to say that it's totally healed up. The glue is all gone, most of it fell off but the rest got wet and melted away (oops) but I've peeled off the last of the glue as well as the excess stuff and the skin underneath it is completely healed. I'm glad too because I hated having to wear that tight yellow glove that people use to do dishes with. It was cutting off the circulation to the rest of my arm lol.

New Sewing Machine

Chip bought a sewing machine the other day at Sears because we really need one. I hate to sew things by hand. I have these pajama bottoms that have holes in the left leg for some reason. It's only the left leg in both pajama bottoms too, Anyway, I don't like to wear them because of the hole because everytime I put them on my foot goes into the hole making it worse. So I wanted to cut the legs off and make them into shorts. They would actually look more like boxer shorts than anything. So I was able to finally do it and the ones I did look funny lol. 1 leg is higher than the other. That's ok. It was my first attempt. I didn't use pins or iron them where I need to sew them, I just cut and went from there lol. Next time I will do it right.

New Afghan Project In The Making

A few nights ago I was watching tv, mainly flipping through channels and I came across a british comedy show on HBO. I don't recall the name of it but the two characters were in bed (twin beds in the same room) and one of them had a crocheted afghan on his bed. They were squares and I was able to see the pattern when they went close up on the guys face when he was talking so I pretty much know what to do. Each color was different and the squares all had a black border (used to sew the squares together). I thought it was so interesting and I have tons of yarn that are all different colors so I thought that since my hands are doing much better that I would do 2 squares a day until it's all finished then I can sew it all together. I'm sure that it will be finished by the time it starts cooling off after summer. And since they are squares I wont worry about crocheting for too much time per day because it doesn't take that long to make a square. I can't wait to see the finished product.
