Electronic Glue
I actually like it because it saves me from having to scroll down and read a lengthy review. This allows you 140 characters so you can leave a short to the point review. It's a lot easier and if a person likes the same thing you like then you can add them to your friends list so that you can see if they like other things you like.

Dead Like Me Movie
When Dead Like Me first came to Showtime, I saw all the billboards and there were commercials for it on the Sci-Fi channel and stuff but I couldn't watch it because I didn't have Showtime back then. But then one night I was sitting at my desk a few years ago and it was on Sci-Fi channel. I was finally able to watch it and I watched the entire 2 seasons I think in a couple of months on Sci-Fi.
Now the movie. I don't know when they made the movie but it was released on video a few days ago on February 17th 2009. Why did it go straight to DVD and not go in theaters? That's strange. The sex in the city movie was in theaters.
I for one can't wait to buy or rent this movie. I wonder if the Red Box has it at the store? There was a video on YouTube where Ellen Muth sounded like she was on the phone leaving a message saying buy the DVD, if you download it instead of buying it you are preventing us from making more movies or possibly continuing new seasons.
Ok Ellen, I won't download it but in this economy I can't buy it either. I don't know how anyone can expect people to splurge on things like buying blu-ray and DVD movies with our economy the way it is. I mean if you still have your job that's one thing, go ahead, help the economy out by buying movies. But mostly people don't have their jobs anymore so they can't afford to spend any of their savings on anything but groceries and paying their bills. I for one am one of the people suffering from this economy so I definitely cannot buy the DVD just yet.
Edit: I just wanted to clarify something. When I say I don't know how anyone can expect... I don't mean any one person in particular. I mean like the companies who are putting DVD's out and the companies who are selling DVD's. It's the same with Amazon selling their Kindle 2 for $359. How can they expect to sell those right now? Why couldn't they wait for the economy to get back on track. They can't judge how well a movie or tv show is doing by it's DVD sales because I'm sure DVD sales have dropped 50% or more.

Chimp Attacks Woman
Here is the story: Chimp Was Unusually Close to Owner
Here is my opinion. Chimps belong in the jungle with other chimps. They don't belong on TV shows with truck drivers (Although BJ and the Bear was a good show) and they don't belong with families with children or with lonely widows. They belong with their own kind. You don't see any human children being left in the jungle to be raised by monkeys do you? There are no real Tarzan's or George of the jungles or that kid from jungle story. The 2 species should never intermingle. Especially considering we "evolved" from them.
Yes it would be cute and fun to dress a monkey up in your childs clothes and put a baseball cap on him and put diapers on him (although it wouldn't be fun changing said diaper).
"She gave him the finest food, and wine in long-stemmed glasses. They took baths together and cuddled in the bed they shared."
That's sick. A friend of hers came over to the house and the monkey went ballistic and started ripping her face off and this poor woman now has to have surgery to put her face back together. The widow stabbed her own pet and was yelling on the 911 tape to SHOOT HIM. How can you deal with that? Stabbing your own pet and telling the cops to shoot him. OMG this is why the laws need to change. This is a wild animal lady. You don't keep a wild animal in your house.

Tiny Bluetooth Music Earphones...
Tiny Philips Bluetooth music earphones have a magic gestural interface
Unfortunately it's for cell phones only. I would like for this to be available for iPod's or any type of mp3 player. All you'd need is a receiver that plugs into the earphone jack and it would have a rechargeable battery inside one of the ear buds that when you are not using them you place them in a charging station. This would be so cool for people who are joggers or bike riders. It would even be great for me when I'm doing dishes. Or if you get bored easily you can wear them in church hello! Nobody will know as long as you just wear 1 and if you have long hair just put the hair on top of it. Or if you are a guy, I don't know lean your head on your hand the whole time, I don't know lol. Get creative.
Sadly this is still just a dream of mine but I'm glad someone finally made it, for cell phones but that's where it starts right? Next it will be for mp3 players hopefully.
The wait for Kindle 2
I just don't read that much. I thought maybe if I had one then perhaps I would read more. Unfortunately though that probably won't be the case. I would probably get my Kindle then read a book, maybe 2 books then I'd probably never pick it up again. At least for awhile that is.
Sure I might buy a subscription to a newspaper and just give it to Chip to read that every morning and he could take it to Church with him every Sunday (yes, there is a bible available for the Kindle) but for me, I just can't justify it.
I want it but I don't need it. I have lots of books that I still haven't even read. I've tried to but I just can't get into them. And I've already paid for them. What am I gonna do, type them out so I can read them on my Kindle? I don't think so.
So what my plan to do is just set aside maybe $20 or $30 every month in my PayPal account and then in a year when I have the money saved up to buy a Kindle if I still want it then I'll buy it. But only if I can. I mean, if I've had to spend some of that money on groceries or for emergency bills then of course I will have to use that saved money. But if that isn't the case and I still have it then I might buy it.
But given the fact that it would take a whole year (saving $30 a month would be exactly 12 months) to save up the money, by then they may have the Kindle 3. And who knows what the Kindle 3 will feature. Maybe a bigger display, bigger hard drive than the now 2GB for the kindle 2. Color display. Touch screen to flip pages and to highlight text. Maybe it might be a little less money by then?
I'm hoping that in a year if I have the money all saved up that when I am finally able to buy one the price might have gone down, our local newspaper will be Kindleized, the kindle will be in color and have touchscreen and have a 20-200GB hard drive. Because I just don't want to spend money on something that can only hold 1,500 books, magazines, newspapers and blogs and still be in black and white.
I'm going to hold out for the best and why shouldn't I? I'm also going to hype it up to everyone I know so they will be so excited about it that they will buy a Kindle 2 for themselves then they will hype it up and so on and so forth then 50% of America will have a Kindle all thanks to me hyping it up. By that time, the Kindle 3 should cost $100.
Kindle Pays For Itself
So I went to the New York Times newspaper and scrolled down to the reviews and the 2nd review from the top this guy said that he was paying $35 a month for his paper but now he pays $14 a month. So basically the Kindle pays for itself from what amount this guy is saving from getting the digital version of his newspaper.
This person pays $420 a year for his new york times newspaper. He now pays $14 a month instead of $35 so now he pays $168 per year which means he is now saving $252 a year on the newspaper. The kindle doesn't exactly pay for itself in a year but maybe a year and half. That'll work.
I don't know how much our newspaper is because I don't pay for it, Chip pays for it because he is who reads it. I don't even read the newspaper. I asked him how much he pays and he couldn't recall. I said is it like $15 a month? $20 a month? He said yeah I guess. Currently our local newspaper is not available for the Kindle but it is available at www.newsstand.com for $10 a month but you have to view that on a PC or a laptop via browser or you can download it and view it through software called iBrowse. You can also print pages. If it were available via Kindle then that might be incentive enough for me to buy one so he can read the newspaper but unfortunately it's not so, oh well.
But it is good to know that the Kindle pays for itself with certain newspapers and magazines.
